So I'm playing RR6 on live a few minutes ago and a guy named ***** ***** joins ... He is 0/0 and doesn't know doesn't ready up for the longest while the other6 people are sitting there ready.
Later during our race he says "Hey, how come the race hasn't started yet?"
I for some odd reason a) remembered he was newbie and b) was feeling nice
so I went ahead and explained to him that he needed to "ready up in a timely fashion so he could join matches"
Next match he joins in...And since I was nice enough to talk to him once he continued to talk to me... Later he revealed that he purchased a Premium bundle with 10 games...As we raced he continued to talk and give me his expert opinions on games. Then he told me the $1100 that he spent was "smarter" than the people who preorde.red in advance (and didn't get their systems) and people who lined up for it. He also described why NFS was superior to RR6 and PGR3 and how EA is the world's best software company...
All the while he seemed to have trouble getting ready for races and kept asking why his take off was too slow. When I explained to him that you have to rev just below redline and then go whenthe announcer says go he asked me "where do you learn this stuff" and i told him it's printed at the bottom of the screen between races and stuff. Aboutof 15 matches with 6 others who were probably growing weary the constant jabbering he was still having problems with basic RR gameplay elements (which seem pretty straight forward to me)
By the way he talked I thought the dude was a young teenaged kid..but turns out he was much older than that (30s). He said he wasn't a hardcore console gamer and gets all his info from employees in game shops mostly. I checked his achievements and it looks like he played all 10 games but almost no progress beyong the beginning of each game...
(He did however diss the core pack saying anyone who buys core pack "knows jack shit about games and a good gaming value" :lol )
Anyways what is this type of person? Casual gamer? Typical live user? What?
