cat power is a kind of new age coffe house rock with a voice more captivating than evanescance. it has its fast songs and slow songs, its almost a new kind of sound. dont really know how to categorize it.

The Meatpuppets are hard to quantify, to my mind.

Its a shitty description, but I guess psychadelic hillbilly rock would sort of cover their sound, at least on Mirage. Suffice to say, they aren't country, rap, or deathmetal.

They are, in short, awesome.
