Celebrating video game music made in Asian video games

So many excellent tracks. I really love the surreal ones like Silent Street in Eidos 7 from Stellar Blade. Musically, it's like Final Fantasy 13 had a child with Nier Automata. And I absolutely adore their child.

IMO the best OST last year (the one that won is not original). There's a ton of variety and styles. It reminds you of Nier because half of the tracks are composed by the same team (Monaca). The others are by Shift Up usual composer, which is also great.

Nier

The soundtrack, composed by Keiichi Okabe, features vocals in the "Chaos Language," a fictional language blending elements of real-world languages. Tracks like "Song of the Ancients" and "Hills of Radiant Winds" are standout examples that enhance the game's emotional depth.

What a coincidence, I just finished Stellar Blade. Overall I enjoyed the game despite some things (f. the open world levels)

I love ambient music, it helps with my writing. Bayonetta has this mysterious track.

And when playing Infinity Nikki I found one with the same vibes, in a similar scenario.

Somehow I knew this thread was about Stellar Blade before I even clicked it 😅

Yes, that game has a phenomenal soundtrack.

I see your selection and raise you

Still my favorite game song to this day, even after 2 decades, because you know shit is about to go down when you hear this song glaring on the speaker PC, alongside with tons of skill SFX. 😂

This absolute banger was originally world music for on of the zones in ff14, but was bafflingly removed in the Realm Reborn update. Luckily they re-added it for the Masked Carnival.

Genshin Impact has some of the best bosses soundtracks. Incredibly creative and lengthy compositions. A couple of examples.

Raiden? Bitch please.
The best Genshin Impact theme song is Liyue battle theme.

Other better songs:

Childe theme is pretty cool though.

Ragnarok still to this day has some super refined soundtrack(except a few ones).
Recent one is very awesome.

Wandering Flame, FFX. As previously mentioned, I LOVE the surreal atmospheric type of stuff like this:

That song is always so striking, much like many other aspects of that game. I'm hoping the remake rumor is true. I'm curious to see what will happen after the FF7 Remake Trilogy is complete.

Anything Yuzo Koshiro, Koji Kondo and Nobuo Uematsu are goat

But also there's freelancers, like everything Capcom and Konami made

Reached Fontaine about a week ago in Genshin Impact, and I just can't get this exploration music from this nation out of my head (BGM composer is Dimeng Yuan):

I'm always a sucker for SEGA arcade style soundtracks, SMB especially

plus im thoroughly disappointed to not see FFX: Besaid yet on here. come on guys, step up that game of yours.

EDIT: Bonus Dark cloud
