Gen was founder of the experimental theatre, art and music collective COUM Transmissions in 1969, and later regarded as the creator of industrial music with Throbbing Gristle in 1975. Genesis was also known for Psychic TV (PTV3), and the pandrogyne project with their late wife Lady Jaye.
