When I buy a PSN card from Game, do they ship it or mail a code?

Because I need a card for the Unit 13 sale and I need it fast, since the shop I bought from a week ago (mmoga) did fuck all about actually giving me my code and instead is driving me beyong rage with supposedly calling me to verify my order and spamming mails that they're going to call now and then not actually calling. I can't even find a way to cancel that fucking order.

Does anyone know if GAME have any decent trade-in deals for Spec Ops: The Line? I've got a card with a lot of credit on it plus I'm close to finishing The Witcher 2, so was thinking of getting Spec Ops.

I'd love to make use of some of the deals here, but Natwest is a shit bank that hasn't sorted out my true bank balance yet, so i'm sitting overdrawn whilst they figure out how to be competent.

edit@They fixed it. Praise Jahbulon.

That's misleading. A lot of the songs (48) are only available as DLC which won't be cheap, knowing SE and rhythm game DLC in general. So in the end it might end up costing you a lot more than Rhythm Thief if you want the DLC songs.

They're exempt from hate because of their godly songs. I found the songs from Rhythm Thief to be boring, although I admittedly only played the demo.

That's a fair point and very true although it is worth noting that the game features 77 full songs. So even without buying a single DLC track it offers more content than the majority (all?) of rhythm games and can be bought for £10 less than Rhythm Thief.
Added to that is the fact that the songs are almost certain to be of higher quality then I would still recommend it over Rhythm Thief even if ignoring all DLC offerings.

Retailers need to have a 3DS XL price war nao! :x :(

Gamestop are taking pre-orders for £169.97, and the AC adaptor for £5.97.

Of course, Gamestation lost some goodwill with the Mario statue bullshit, but hopefully this shouldn't have any problems. Though I still hate the fact that they take your money immediately, rather than waiting until dispatch. If not for thyat, I'd order one right now, and just cancel it if I found it cheaper elsewhere in the meantime.

Zavvi is minimally cheaper.

Even better for me since I have the charger anyway. Hoping amazon pricematch.

Excellent, thanks. Since Zavvi don't charge until it's dispatched, I might pre-order with them, and cancel if Amazon do pricematch.

I also have an AC adaptor; two in fact. But those are for my DSi XL and 3DS, both of which I plan on selling when I get a 3DS XL. And since I'll need to sell those with the AC adaptors, I'll need to buy a new one.

I'm still really annoyed at how cheap Nintendo are being with that.

It really depends. If Nintendo are passing on the saving to us, it's fine, but I don't see any way of proving that (usa prices are generally cheaper then ours even taking into account vat, so we can't compare trade price).

And of course we assume they're not, since they're a business.

The best deals will probably be in supermarkets. Spend so much in store on groceries, and get the 3DSXL for £x, that sort of deal.
Even then the trade price for 3DSXL is £146 (ignore the title). Add the VAT and thats ~£168.

Given the best prices are about £170 so far it looks pretty likely. I'd expect a supermarket to be £165 with £50 shop or chart game purchase...with the chart rigged to remove anything below £40. Except, Ubisoft launch games...those are £25...

What was the last games item there was a 'price war' on?

Over the last 12-18 months they have become less and less common.

Someone knows a cheap fighting stick for x360?
I was considering to buy one for VF5 on xbla because the only one I got is the Namco arcade fight stick for PSone (bought it in 1997 alongside with Tekken):

EDIT:
Theatrhythm 3DS is £21.85 at ShopTo (PRE-ORDER)

I've had Atelier Rorona + Meruru on order from Zavvi for a week or so (when I ordered them it said that they will be delivered in one month). I have just enquired about when the games are going to be shipped and the reply was this:

..............
Thank you for contacting Zavvi.com regarding your order.

I am sorry for the delay of response, I can confirm that the item is out of stock this is why we can not dispatch this to you.

I am sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused you.

If there is anything else I can help you with please don't hesitate to ask.
..............

What the hell is that supposed to mean? Should I keep waiting or cancel and buy them elsewhere (not as cheap though)?

Cheers.

you can either
a) wait for them to get more in - you will pay the cheaper price but when this happens (if ever) is up to them
b) cancel your order and buy from someone else - more expensive but will happen quicker

really it just depends how much you want to play them vs. how much you are willing to spend

It means you have to wait a bit. I don't even understand where your problem is. It says "shipped within a month" and you ask them after a week, why your order wasn't shipped out?

I never had an order, where zavvi canceled in the end. They always ship out. It could even be that they are going to ship out next week. Anyway zavvi timeframes are never accurate. "Ships within 24 hours" may be 4-5 days in real-world-time.

yeh Zavvi timeframes are really screwed up
e.g. You can buy Hyperdimension Neptunia at the moment and it says "Availability: Usually dispatched within a week"
but they haven't had any stock for at least a week, and my order says "Dispatch Date Est. 01/08/2012"

That's a generic reply. I hate it when they do that. It also means, they don't really give a shit and will ship it to you once they have it in stock, pretty much whenever they want to.
I ordered Atelier Rorona sometime last year for £17.95 and was supposed to be in stock. But they never ever shipped it. The first took my money than gave me a refund.

Though this time, I think they will dispatch it, maybe, I guess, since there's a small reprint or something like that. I'm probably just gonna get it from a local gamestore.

But I have zero interest in ordering stuff from thehut group anymore, even though they do have some great prices once in a while. The shipping times are ridiculous now. It used to take about 5 workdays for me, now it's at least 2-3 full weeks. YMMV.

Well my 'problem' is that when I ordered Atelier Rorona + Meruru it said 'shipped within a month'. Now:

1. If you search Rorona on the site it says 'ships within a week' but on my order it still says 'ships within a month' and

2. Meruru is listed as sold out on the site, but on my status still 'ships within a month'.

I found that weird, especially 1.

10% The Hut voucher. Expires very soon I think.

Quote to reveal.

:edit: Anyone's Devil may cry HD collectoin (from last weekend) already arrive?

Meruru isn't sold out, do you mean Totori? Your order will probably ship in the next week, the "within a month" is because that's what the status was when you ordered it.

It's £22.99 at Amazon, but you get a free stylus and set of stickers. Worth the extra £1.14, I think. I'm going to try and sell them on eBay for a bit more money back a week or two after release. If I can get £5 or so for them, I'll be happy, as that effectively makes the game cost only £18.

One of my 360 battery packs has died (had it since 06 so not that upset) but I want a couple of new ones. Been looking around and it seems Microsoft discontinued the standalone battery packs? Am I right on this? And that in order to get an official one I need to get another play and charge kit for it?

I might just invest in a 3rd party one if thats the case but the MS ones always had the best battery life from my experience.

Buy some Eneloops and charger from 7dayshop or similar.

If you just need an entry-level stick for cheap I can recommend the Hori EX2. Nothing for people who take the fighting games really serious but good enough for me and the casual round of SF4 every now and then.

Best price I could find was Amazon.de (45€ plus I think 7€ shipping) but unfortunatly it's out of stock at the moment and I don't know if they are going to restock. Maybe you can find it somewhere else though (ebay?).

And maybe someone in the Arcade Stick Thread can help you if you haven't tried that already.

Probably the wrong place to ask (please point me to a more appropriate thread if there is one), but I'm about to sell a bunch of Mega Drive & Master System games on Ebay. I was wondering if there's any resource online that could tell me how much they're generally worth? Any help would be much appreciated.
