Probably the wrong place to ask (please point me to a more appropriate thread if there is one), but I'm about to sell a bunch of Mega Drive & Master System games on Ebay. I was wondering if there's any resource online that could tell me how much they're generally worth? Any help would be much appreciated.
Err...ebay?

So, going back to the ASDA Ratchet and Clank fiasco. I sent them an email the other day having a moan, and this was their reply today.

Response Via Email (SFazil) 01/07/2012
Hi xxxxxx

Thank you for your email about The Ratchet & Clank Trilogy game you've ordered on our Asda Direct website.

I'm sorry that you've not received your delivery. I can understand your concern as the release date, 29 June 2012 has past.

I've checked the details of your account and see that the order has been shipped today 1 July 2012. The item is on its way to you and will be delivered by Friday 6 July 2012.

Thanks again for contacting me and if there's anything else I can help you with, please let me know.

Kind regards

Soooo..yeah..i dunno whether to believe them or not but they are saying July 6th at the latest.

El Shaddai (PS3) for £7.95 at Zavvi worth it?
I'd say no. The game did nothing for me. Absolutely mediocre and forgettable experience.
They tried to make the game interesting by putting artsy filters over the graphics and having an seemingly intentionally incomprehensible (very japanese) story, but that really didn't help.

Bleh, figures it's just a game all artsy with no substance. Thanks, I'll pass.

Btw, I enjoyed killing you in MHF. :)

I completely agree, I thought I'd love it due to the heritage but the gameplay was bland as anything.

A game that is a struggle to enjoy despite the presentation is the very definition of mediocre in my eyes.

Is there a zavvi code tha applies on 3ds xl preorder?
I am trying my "expired" yesterday's 10% code but it only applies to SC5 in my basket

Hate to be that guy who corrects folks, but the story actually is based on Christian mythology, so not exactly a "very Japanese story", the Book of Enoch.

The game visually is amazing and looks wonderful, but is essentially a Bayonetta-lite experience. But definitely worth £8, far worse can be bought for the same price.

Isn't El Shaddai based on the bible?

I know the origin of the story, and I'm actually interested in old christian mythology, but the way it was told was extremely japanese, which I just can't stand anymore.

Everything needs to be extra vague and presented as complicated and mysteriously as possible without ever telling you anything. Add one or two cute mascots and some kind of awakening of some sleeping power that makes everything extra awesome and deeply meaningful. In the end you're left with nothing of substance, even though the game used a million words and a lot of exposition.

I'm exaggerating here, but not by a lot.
Gameplay is definitely DMC/Bayonetta-(extra-)light, without any depth at all.

You have the option of viewing only completed listings on eBay. Do that, and it shows you all both listings that sold and listings that didn't. That's what I use to gauge how much I should sell something for.

If you just need an entry-level stick for cheap I can recommend the Hori EX2. Nothing for people who take the fighting games really serious but good enough for me and the casual round of SF4 every now and then.

Best price I could find was Amazon.de (45€ plus I think 7€ shipping) but unfortunatly it's out of stock at the moment and I don't know if they are going to restock. Maybe you can find it somewhere else though (ebay?).

And maybe someone in the Arcade Stick Thread can help you if you haven't tried that already.

Didn't know about the AS thread, time to lurk I guess.
Thanks!

I checked my order and mine was dispatched today as well, it should definitely arrive by Friday. Probably sooner, but don't get your hopes up.

Fable 3 (new and sealed) - €9.99 or ~ £8 at Gamestop.de

NOTE: The game is in German language, but I believe you can download the English language pack from the marketplace (only visible to accounts with a non-English speaking country selected).

That's what they told me on the phone as well, July 6th. It's a joke considering they somehow managed to get all the orders placed at the more expensive price delivered on time. Strange that.

I had laser eye-surgery after getting a 3DS, and I can't say I remember the 3DS screen appearing any different when I had glasses than it does now. So I don't see what difference glasses make.

Anyway, I say wait. £60 (maybe less) extra for a system that is much more ergonomically-pleasing. Bigger screens, and so much more comfortable to hold. Also, the battery life is better on the XL. Still not as good as I'd like, but considering how terrible it is on the 3DS, any step in the right direction is appreciated. In the long run, it will be well worth it.

Do you think bricks and mortar stores will get close to online prices? Don't want to risk late delivery with a preorder

If they do, it will be a supermarket, and probably only part of a multibuy offer (ie: £160 when you buy £50 worth of shopping, or £160 when also bought with a certain game).

I'm bookmarking that Sainsbury's page, but I'm going to wait a bit to see if other sites drop their prices before I bite the bullet. I'm really hoping Amazon go beneath the £170 mark; since it's pretty much guaranteed they'll have it delivered on release day, I'm prepared to spend a little bit extra with them.

EDIT: Sorry, meant to edit my last post, not make a new one.

Ack, I'll hold out and see what happens. It's just £108 is an extremely good and tempting price for what I'll probably not even use that much. I really only want it for Theatrhythm and Pokemon Conquest. Certainly initially. I've just never been a big handheld gamer (even though I play my iPhone lots). Tend to always find them extremely uncomfortable to hold after not too long playing.

It was a joke, he has glasses so is clearly blind and could do with bigger screens =P

Unfortunately he has small hands and thus couldn't hold an XL.

In conclusion, my post was thoroughly unhelpful =)
