Cheap Arse Gaffer |Europe| With Or Without EU

How is Inquisition if i bounced off Origins due to the gameplay within a half hour, but like Mass Effect? Good story? Can i just jump in without knowing Origins?

Depends on why you didn't like Origins' gameplay. Most people tend to agree that Origins had the strongest narrative and I haven't played enough of DA:I to tell you otherwise.

You can get Inquisition on EA Access if we're talking PC here.

I bought Persona 5 via Game UK click and collect thinking I could pick it up after work as my local store was the only one having stock. Even though they had plenty of copies left, they told me I couldn't, and that the game I ordered would take 3-4 days to arrive to their store. What the hell kind of backward customer service is this, and what is the point when you can get a game sent directly to your home in less time?!

Ended up buying the game at HMV next door for a pound less.

It's because the online store often has lower prices, so they just deliver the online copy to the store rather than give up that sweet £59.99 or whatever.

Dump as shit.

Bit too legacy RPGy for my tastes, especially coming to it late.

Amazon have dropped the price of Digimon World Next Order to the same price as it is on the PSN sale, £30.

https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B01MYW71T6/
Out of desperation I actually ordered another copy and the new order says it's currently being prepared to be shipped while the other simply says that it's not been sent yet. :|
Yeah, that's exactly what happened with Tales of Zestiria's CE for me from .de

It was sold out on launch and they kept telling me it was out of stock so they couldn't deliver my pre-order. Then it randomly comes back in stock and people ordering it get it shipped out same day. While my order was just stuck there, with support still insisting they don't have stock. When it came back in stock a second time that's when I just gave in and re-ordered. That shipped out straight away, while my pre-order was still stuck.

Their system can just be total crap.

There is nowhere to buy a cheap PlayStation TV now, right?

I bought one a long time ago and traded it in, lol. But now I find myself wanting to finally finish Persona 4 Golden and I don't like always playing it on my Vita.

Interested in this myself for when I want to play P5 in the living room!

I got my order today, as I stated in my previous post they bumped my shipping method to express and took less than 24h to get here (for some strange reason the tracking started in Spain and not France, I wonder if I'm getting stock from amazon.es).

What was the price before?

It was actually "only" £74.99, meaning they've bumped it up by £25, which is ridiculous.

Moving away from P5, does anyone have any recommendations for PS4 controller charger dock things? Obviously cheap is best! Also a PS3 controller dock too, if anyone knows of a good'un.

I'd say Origins has better and more interesting story, characters (though Inquisition at least has some good ones, unlike ME: Andromeda) and writing once you get into it. Inquisition wins on visuals, easily. Combat can go either way, Origins had a slower paced classic real-time-with-pause combat while DA:I is more like an action game although weird enough, it's still kind of RtWP. It just doesn't feel like your old RtWP game. DA:I open world exploration is your Ubisoft style "tons of stuff and things to click everywhere" while Origins had much less going on, less things to collect and click.

I pretty much hated both exploration and combat in DA:I while loved both in DA:O but there's a reason why Inquisition won a lot of GOTY awards, people do like that type of modern open world game regardless of genre.

since it is discontinued at retail, you are stuck with ebay, etc,

If you don't mind having French descriptions on your box, it's still available at Amazon.fr.

It's a little bit cheaper at Base and at GameSeek.

Thanks, ordered 7th Dragon (and a reasonably priced copy of DQVII while I was at it!) earlier this week.

Any Picross fans here?

Simplygames have Picross 3D Round 2 for £12.85. Next cheapest price is Amazon at £24.00.

Thanks, just ordered Picross about 30 mins ago. Looks like I might have got the last one, so thanks for the heads up!

With these purchases taken into account, my 3DS collection is approaching completion!

Where are you based and how much do you pay for shipping? During Christmas I wanted to buy two soundtracks and they wanted to charge me over 30€ in shipping fees, which was absurd.

I order my SQEX OSTs from CDJapan. Usually cheaper base-prices than SQEX store and cheaper shipping. Customs can be a problem but if you order only 1-2 OSTs at a time they might evade customs. I've ordered maybe 30-35 OSTs from there in total and only a few of them have gone through customs and have tax & shit added on top.

UK, they charge like £5.50ish if your order is below £90 or something like that. The other person asked for someone from the UK,they have a warehouse in the UK so that's probably why it's much cheaper.

Ah, thanks. Would make sense if they have a warehouse in Britain.

Appreciated, but my country's customs are so notoriously evil that if something from CDJapan ends up there I would likely have to pay more to get it out than what the OST would have cost, like I would have bought it twice.

i wouldn't mind ordering from there mainly because i prefer japanese CDs because they have those spinecards with them but my problem is i want the bonus CD for the nier automata soundtrack and they're sold out of it now and the SEEU store is offering it on pre-order

That sucks. :( I think SQEX store might have free shipping to anywhere (in Europe?) for orders over 200€. Do you have any friends/relatives who'd want to participate in a large mass purchase that pushes the overall price past that? That way you'll avoid both customs & shipping fees.

So who remembers flubit? Anyway they've had a redesign of sorts. There is no more sending demands and waiting for offers to return now. This also means that is appears to flat out not work for some products on amazon for some reason (e.g. Dragon Quest VIII) and give worse prices than Amazon for others (e.g. Dragon Quest VII is over £1 more).

Still I mainly use flubit for books these days and they typically use wordery for prices lower than wordery.

Can you not use Amazon.co.jp instead?

They sort out customs for you when shipping to quite a few countries. Depends whether yours is on the list.

Cuts out postal services holding your parcel for ransom until you pay their exorbitant fees.

Media Markt Germany has a "buy 2, get 2 for free" promotion going right now. Got 8 Nintendo-published 3DS games for 20 EUR each (actually less, as I still had discounted voucher cards).

Online most games are gone, but my local store still had all games I wanted. Now even opted for Yoshi's Woolly World and Mario Maker on 3DS.

Picked up Dragon Quest 7, Dragon Quest 8, SMT 4 Apocalypse and Pokemon Sun for 80€ - fantastic deal. Still waiting for delivery though.

I saw the deal a bit late when the games I wanted weren't available online anymore. Still thinking about Luigi's Mansion, Tomodachi Life, Fantasy Life, and Kirby. Then again, I'm not really interested in playing them and so I'd just be buying those games for the sake of owning them. So I better don't do that.

Was at Media Markt in Antwerp (Belgium) today, picked up Deus ex: Mankind Divided for 7.99.
Don't know if it has been cheaper before, but couldn't resist at that price.

Hmm tricky one. My top 2 favourite games are 1-DA Origins & 2-DA Inquisition :P
Inquisition's actual gameplay overall is better than Origins and I love the stories & characters of all the Dragon Age and Mass Effect games fwiw
You don't need to have played the previous games to enjoy Inquisition, it does link to them a fair bit but nothing that'd get in the way of you understanding the story or getting to know the main characters

Have you played ME Andromeda? It's similarly structured to Inquisition in terms of side content & semi-open world areas so that might give you an idea of what to expect

Has anyone got their £10 PSN cashback voucher yet, for buying £50 of stuff during March? Here's what the email says:

Dear pixiemorv,

For spending £50 at PlayStation®Store this March, we're sending you a £10 wallet top-up voucher code to use in April.

It'll appear in the Notifications area on your PS4™ between 6 and 7 April.

From,
PlayStation®Store Team

But it's now the 8th, and still nothing. I'm just switching my PS4 on for a minute to check notifications - do I have to leave it on for a minimum amount of time for it to update Notification Centre?

Nothing here yet either.

They have a web page which mentions the code will arrive between 1st and 9th April though so maybe the emails are wrong.

You were right, it's only 8 euros off.

If you have a Media Markt close to you: Use the 4 for 2 deal. Bought four games including Yakuza, sold three (the ones I wanted were sold off ). In the end I made a profit of 5 euros and got my Nioh (order via website and pick up in the market so you won't have to pay shipping and have no limit regarding the value of the 4 games). Same worked with Yakuza.

is that 4 x 2 a permanent thing?? I could give it a try...

EDIT: Also, is this Germany??
