It feels like China is really failing its people by not controlling its industrial growth with a little more care. This year so far, exploding city blocks and industrial complexes, a couple of years back was a rash of suicides and death by overworking.
An interesting aspect of all of this is that if you listen to some politicians' rhetoric in the current presidential primaries here in the United States, you here talks about making America competitive with China and I have no doubt pesky things like regulation and safety laws will be first on the chopping block followed by the endless supplies of easily replicable working poor. It sure would be nice if we can learn from our neighbors in the present in a way that that doesn't involve us beating them at their own mistakes.
DISCLAIMER: Before someone attempts to call me out on my superiority complex; it isn't. Trust me, I know US "certainly isn't some angel."
