I have a couple of questions about accessories for an iPod Mini and an iRiver (don't know the model)...and I figured the people on this board are way smarter than I am.

1) My sister got an iPod Mini for Christmas, and is looking for case recommendations. A translucent or transparent skin which allows the iPod color to show through would be strongly preferred. What do you recommend? Is it typically available in stores? (She's leaving on Tuesday to go to New Orleans for a couple of days, so she'd like to get it tomorrow if at all possible.)

2) My aunt got an iRiver, but I'm not sure of the model. Since I'm an iPod owner myself, I don't know very much about iRivers. What software do you recommend for syncing...or do you add MP3s by dragging and dropping to the iRiver as a portable hard drive? What pay-per-track music download sites are compatible with the iRiver? Which of them are recommended in terms of ease of use and size of catalog?

I just picked up Speck skin-tight case for Ipod mini. Was at Futureshop in full display right next to the ipods. One warning though, if you use the ITrip mini, it won't fit with the skin on top of the Ipod...you would have to cut the top a bit to make it fit. I bought a 3-pack of the covers and I cut the pink one (which I would never use to carry around) so that I could fit the ITrip with the cover on. The cover is basically a rubberized form fitting case, which is nice since it protects your ipod and doesn't slip at all when you're holding it. It comes in a clear case which would dull the colour a bit, but still let the original colour show through. They also have other colours (like the aforementioned pink) and blue and green I believe.

Normally I reccomend the Lajo skins over the others, but it seems that they only carry Xskins for the minis.

Check this one out for transparency, but note that the corners don't get covered up.
