Chrono Trigger or Final Fantasy III (US, SNES)

Chrono Trigger is a much better game. Chrono is great from start to finish while FFIII falls off during the world of ruin, it is a great game until the world of ruin.

If you want to get her a FF get her FFII, best FF EVER!

This guy knows what he is talking about. Agreed on all points.

actually, FFVIII is the best FF, followed by IV.

III is the best NES FF, though. :)

My daughter and I just finished playing FFVI (what a brilliant game) But I'd have to say for someone that's just starting out CT would be better first, followed by FFVI.

I don't remember fighting that enemy. Where is it located?

Lufia and the Fortress of Doom for bonus points too!

But Tia sucks ass!

The big slime should be the boss of the 100-floor dungeon...WHERE THE GAME GETS GLITCHED TO HELL AND YOU CAN'T SEE WHERE TO GO TO GET THE ITEMS THERE.

Possibly..last time I played the game was when it was first out and all I remember is the game screwing up after you beat that boss and when you get the Dual Blade.

And that Tia is an annoying bitch.

I always wondered about that. Earlier in the game when you finally get the Dual Blade you can't see a damn thing. I never understood why everything in the room was in complete darkness.

Everyone I know that had the game (all of 2 or 3 people) have had the same problem in the same places..so it has to be some uberbug on most, if not all, carts. Pretty lame.

*whispers* (Finally resumed playing Dragon Warrior IV. Was afraid I'd never get back into it.)

I loved Lufia 2 but never really played Lufia 1... is it worth trying? Does it have the puzzle element of the second game thrown in there or is it a pretty typical RPG?

It's a pretty typical RPG.

If your looking for an easier RPG I would also probably reccomend FFIX on PSone. Its the easiest FF I can remember and makes use of many of the classic FF themes. The levelling system is relatively straightforward and the gameworld is very colurful and vibrant.

I think a woman would enjoy it. It doesnt take much experience in RPGs to excel at FFIX.
