So basically the Secret of Mana treatment. Sounds terrible.Full 3D remake, maybe with celshaded graphics to keep with the anime aesthetics.
They can, it's as good today as it was thirty years ago.New generations should be able to enjoy the game.
like this would be amazing.....MHStories 3 is looking one of best looking cell shading style I have seen in games.Full 3D remake, maybe with celshaded graphics to keep with the anime aesthetics.
I know, we'd prefer new games, but we also know how devs/pubs are lazy these days and prefer the quick buck remaster/remake over being creative for themselves. End of rant.
So how would you like Chrono Trigger remade? Remaster of the original just in 4k/60fps? That 2D-HD style? Full on remake with 3D models?
I think I'd like the 2D-HD style. Only to still hold true to the original art design, while also making it look fresh and new.
Like this:
But I would be fine with HD-2D remake as well, although I am not all that crazy about it.
- In both cases though, I do wish they would include full voice acting with Japanese voices.
I can't imagine a world where 1 option is better than 2.They can, it's as good today as it was thirty years ago.
A big budget remake like FFVIIR but using instead a flat cel shaded art style like the one from Cyberconnect or Arc System Works to match the artstylke Akira Toriyama did use for the illustrations and designs he made for the game:How would you prefer Chrono Trigger gets remade?
While that's true, some people would see it as ultimately pointless to produce a weak product that harms the legacy of a brilliant one. There will always be fans who adore the new product as well. It's just differing of opinions and, while I'm understanding of the position of those who would want a remake, I am firmly on the other side of the issue.I can't imagine a world where 1 option is better than 2.
A remake wouldn't erase the original.
Sure, it's more likely than a remake wouldn't live up to the original but as consumers we can only win: if it sucks we just don't buy it but if it just happens to be good...While that's true, some people would see it as ultimately pointless to produce a weak product that harms the legacy of a brilliant one. This.No remake. Just release with physical copy on Switch like they did with Chrono Cross.
Anything less would feel cheap and pointless. If it's still 2D then why bother? It would be boring to see the world again in 2D even if it has a shiny lighting filter over it.Like that Dragon Quest 7 Reimagined
I prefer it in the style of Final Fantasy VII Remake. If they aren't going to make a big transformation, then it doesn't need a remake, just a remaster
I don't see the FF7 remake as something light like KH, but what's funny is that Chrono Trigger actually does have a lighter vibe similar to KH, it only gets darker in Chrono Cross. I think both Chronos would look amazing as full AAA JRPGs, with bigger worlds, better animations, upgraded combat, and graphics close to CGI… or at least something like DQ XI.You mean rape all the character out of it and change dark gritty and intriguing into Kingdom Hearts fluff? Hmm, no thanks.
Chrone Trigger can simply be remade in the style of Octopath Traveler.
