Catching up to the stream. Just finished the base building panel.

Incredible stuffs. The monster hunting they've talked about yesterday, with crafting, the tiers of items, stats to upgrade, blueprints. To think that there's gonna be blueprint hunters that basically create a business for more rare craftings will be an interesting mechanic.

Finally, armor, weapons and ships, get their "MMO" mechanic, stats and tier levels. With the dungeons/raids talked about yesterday, it really feels like there's now incentive to do these things for better rewards, rather than picking up med-pens in a loot box like it is now. They understand the end-goal and they nailed the idea.

Base building is a game changer. Finding my own land to build on, yes please? I think I would go in the red wood, a cabin in the forests.

Just watching now the larger bases with cargo daisy chains and mineral extractors, large bases for multiple crews and hangars. Insane.

5 systems is far too few.

Been rumored for years 1.0 would aim for 5 systems. These are massive worlds. They calculated that if every backer had land claimed, it would only take half of Hurston planet. So spread across 5 systems, with systems like Pyro being like 3 times the size of Stanton.

I think for a 1.0 release as a foundation of the MMO and then move forward, it's damn good.

Tag, you're it.

Oh I know that, I still think it's way too small to have corpo war and all. Those corpo will be so close (especially since Pyro is 10 minutes of quantum now and not 40) that there will be no benefit to the war, so big corpo are gonna be like "you stay here, and we stay here" and that's it. I think they need at least 10 systems with some completely empty so the players can make it their own. Also the server meshing is THE BIG question. So far I'm not convinced.

And the 1.0 is without Xi'an? No Banu?

More Star systems are already teased before. They have a dedicated team creating star systems so i bet they already have a lot of white box version of those. Their planet tech tool almost creates them automatically.

To make sure you are not scamming more people into this cult

So, how do you think, in your head, it's gonna go like?

"Oh, I was watching Citizencon 2954 so I ended up on the game store and saw the $45 package, then I said why not buy all ships? I have $30k of ships worth in my cart. THEN I saw TVexperto TVexperto 's post on Neogaf. OMG he saved my bank account. I didn't know I had an addiction to spending $30k on random shit by watching a stream. THANK YOU TVexperto TVexperto , without you I would have put my whole family in debt."

This is "think of the children!" simpson gif worthy. Thanks for your concern. I think we're adults here.

You claim that you've been playing over 10 years, evocati, probably spent a fortune in the game. How much did you load your mama's credit card? Not everyone has an addiction. Are you out there also to protect players from spending on counterstrike? All the other multiplayer games with purchases? You evocati? What kind of constructive feedback would you even give on spectrum? Nobody believes you. Or otherwise, the filter of peoples allowed in that exclusive group failed hard. What does one guy who shits on anything they do, be of any help to test the game. Even the most cynical backers like SaltEMike eventually has positives to say.

OR

You're just a troll from /r/starcitizen_refunds

How odd

And that's just the tip of the iceberg of the garbage that's come out of your mouth in previous threads where clearly I spotted the usual sc_refunds QAnon level of conspiracies

So there's two scenarios.
  1. You truely invested in this game
    1. But you got burnt out, got bitter
    2. You had a spending addiction, and your psychiatrist didn't inform you that addictions are mental health problems, It could have happened with anything else, drugs, other medias, other hobbies.
    3. You've showcased in the multiple threads you have no idea what you're talking about technology wise. How many of your arguments I've dissected layer by layer, showcasing you're just spewing garbage with no knowledge? The server meshing one comes to mind, along with the salaries of Chris Roberts or financials of the company, which are public.
    4. You can't move on somehow. Why, anyone's guesses. Who in their right mind plays 10 years without any "game" content or it's pure trash. 10 years by your claims. This is meme worthy. Like those steam reviews where its negative but they have spent 5k hours in the game. Who the fuck does that.
  2. You're just an sc_refunds troll
    1. How's that discord chat to warrior all forums about any news of star citizen with copy/paste posts going so far?
    2. You're basically just taking all the content from that subreddit and pasting here. No original thoughts. You've showcased you don't really understand what you're talking about either. I have the receipts. For someone from Evocati, that's highly unlikely. I have 1 year in the game and can already call out your misinformation and bullshit. You have no knowledge, just copy/pasting of sc_refunds.
I'm pretty certain its scenario 2

The sheer irony that you mentionned cult earlier, when you're regurgitating from the hate cult of sc_refunds, the group where they took the time to refund for the game, but still can't seem to be able to move on a decade later. Deep in QAnon level of conspiracies where Chris Roberts is an owner of a yacht and fleeced millions somehow away from UK laws and public records, probably also drinks virgin blood. What a joke.

Just saw the whole of day 2 and the 1.0 end game

Holy shit

I aimed for more solo career like bounty hunting eventually, but I kind of want to participate in some monster org with crazy space stations now. Completely insane the scale of it.

And I thought identifying Sony fanboys was easy
Being a Sony fanboy (or a hater for that matter) is perfectly fine, provided it doesn't lead to reprehensible scumbag behavior. ..In my opinion.

That's what I've said since the last few patches; Now when the core systems have been more or less come together, the overarching system has been developing a lot quicker. It's looking real good, it seems like they've finally gotten the gameplay loops in order.

I don't know what I want to do at this point. I've always fancied myself a sort of solo miner/hauler, but now I'm sort of interested in crafting. When I saw the space stations, I legit sort of wondered "how long would it take to solo build one of these?" Imagine the time needed to get a pioneer, build a supply bay, build a space station, attach a dry dock, and then build your own idris. Haha. Sounds kind of fun. I'd build it right on top of arccorp or something cuz I'm not trying to fuck with all that lawless shit.

Only caught bits of day 2 so was there a Star Citizen 1.0 showcase trailer thing similar to what they did last year?

Not really, there were tidbits from each explanations, but not stitched together. I'm sure someone will make a resume of it all and post on youtube soon.

It's good to finally see a complete vision of where the game is going for 1.0 release. Seeing how all the MMO aspects come together with the guilds and the orgs really cool.
Now we wait lol. I think 5 systems is also spot on, anymore we could be waiting an even longer time.

Skimmed through some of the day 2 live stream, some fucking cool looking shit! 5x systems seems small as to what was "promised" during the backing, but we all know what people think of 1000+ barren systems (aka Starfield).
I love Starfield, but god dayum is the star citizen PU on a whole another level.

I just was Squadron 42 first!

Each system is relatively vast. So to create an effective MMO environment, the number of systems should be balanced with the player base instead of being just an arbitrary number (referring to the 100 system stretch goal).

Ok, I am a pretty big Star Citizen skeptic but the Squadron 42 presentation has me feeling more positive than negative.

I have always been more bullish about Squadron 42 than Star Citizen as a whole, in the sense that I think it might actually reach completion, but I also expected it would get it's scope slashed down as pressure mounts to release something.

It doesn't seem like that's the case, they're claiming 40 hour campaign, that they're feature complete, and they are giving a realistic launch time frame. I get good Wing Commander vibes from game and story. Honestly, if tthe game they are describing and showing is what hits shelves in 2026, I'm in.

Even when they'll expand beyond 5 systems, I don't think going for derp numbers for sake of easily generating systems with AI and procedural tech is the way forward. Too many systems and orgs will spread out. If its so big that orgs are easily doing their own things in a corner of the universe without anyone knowing about it (much like EVE online), then the stress of building mega structures and having to fight for shield tech just goes out the window, there would be sometimes some big battles, but not a constant threat. It will also depend on how many players jump in. Scaling for 20k players, or 100k players, or beyond, AND if they retain the userbase which is another matter entirely, will determine the number of systems to keep it interesting and not too spread out.

I think 100 systems would basically kill the MMO. It becomes so massive at that stage that it means its a single player game. Elite dangerous forces players to eventually return to civilization because stations and tech are there, not in the outer rims, but if you can build a massive station with everything you need to craft and build armor / guns / ships and sell to the civilized worlds by cargo hauling, then there's no reason to get out of your cave and risk a war.

It'll be interesting to see how they'll approach this problem.

The displays they had on the floor looked cool the Space station and the fighter. the constant delays of SQ42, not cool.

All this base building stuff and stations incentivizes me to consider joining a large org sooner or later to take advantage of this gameplay when it becomes available.

The lyrics are in Xi'an apparently, the alien race. Nice wink that the solar system is next to their space. Would be cool to see them in-game too.

Pedro Macedo Camacho is such a good composer. This game has legit one of the best OST.
