Clinton: 'I was on the way to winning' until Comey, Russia intervened

Clinton is a major cog in the machine that is creating a gap between classes in America. Why am I seeing this turn back to the status quo from before Trump? Fuck Trump - but this is a pivot point. The citizens of America (the ones who can't rely on Saudi, Wall Street, dark money to get by) have an opportunity to change the course here.

No fucking way - not okay with min. wage of $12, money in politics and half baked healthcare.

Time to grow.
See, the failure of the left to compromise against one banner to fight the grater evil will always lead to the worst possible outcome with this electoral system. It has always been so. The only thing that's changed is the left has forgotten and let their petty squabbles get the better of them. You will now pay the ultimate price.

If you want real change you would actually campaign for electoral reform.

Did anyone catch Howard Sterns rants about this? I thought he summed it up quite perfectly. I'm on the can right now, but to summarize:

Hillary's team ran a bad campaign because they did not capitalize on Trumps frequent screw ups. She also did not communicate with the public effectively, especially during speculation about her health. He went on to argue that he could have clinched the white male / female vote if she came onto his show LOL I guess he invited her multiple times but she never committed.

He's not wrong.

The relevance of that to this thread's content is.... what?

The 1% own the Democratic Party lock stock and barrel. We saw how they drafted an ineffectual, last-minute DNC candidate Tom Perez to block progressive favorite Keith Ellison. I don't even like Ellison that much, but it speaks volumes that the establishment was not willing to cede a largely symbolic position to a representative of the "Bernie wing".

If you want to have politics left of Tom Perez and Hillary Clinton, you have to build it outside the Democratic party.

The Seattle city councilwoman Kshama Sawant has won twice as an independent socialist, and since then she has led the movement for a $15 minimum wage, rent control, divestment from Wells Fargo (for their support of DAPL), and is now leading an effort to pass a "millionaires tax".

When you have an independent, held accountable by a working class organization (called Socialist Alternative), the establishment Democrats are forced to make a choice: expose themselves as opponents of working class demands, or accept them. Despite major efforts to block the 15 minimum wage, when it came to a vote, the Democrats on city council approved it unanimously.
