Cloudwalking has that "look" that drives me crazy. It's almost, almost, that same look that makes me stare at pics of my girlfriend for hours.
Recently - like, sometime in the past year - a swtich flipped on in my mind that's made me look at people a lot differently. I'll see someone that isn't a 10 by conventional standards of superficialty, but has a nice "look" that suits them very well (IMO) and it makes me want to know everything about them that brought them to looking that way. It's like wanting to know what an artist had on his mind and what his life was about that moment when he painted your favorite piece, kinda. It's a lot easier to drag trivial information out of people when we're just waiting for a 3-hour Art session to go by, or don't have anything better to do after class than sit around and chill for a bit.
I share two Tuesday classes with a well-toned cutie (bordering on hottie, but she's a smoker :\) that doesn't really have that "look" I so desire, but I found myself infatuated with her and couldn't figure out why. When we were talking after class for an hour or so, she tells me she's from the Bronx and she likes to box. I couldn't pick up on that from her whispering in class, but her voice at normal levels and her mannerisms sold it. She also tells me it's difficult for her to make friends because her boy toy is the jealous type (and also a boxer; dangerous combination), and that other girls look at her and assume she has lots of friends already. In the end, I was more attracted to her because of what she told me about herself rather than what I saw of her with my eyes.
There's this girl in my Monday class... A little chubby, but still a cutie. I loved the colors she wore yesterday. I'm gonna ask her to lunch later, when all my financial aid bullshit settles. I mean, fuck, I'm all "dressed to go out" and smelling nice and stuff. I don't want to waste it. And, being back in school has amplified my desire to learn about people/places/things.

Ok, I wasn't sure. But to me marriages are no big deals. They could be in long-term relationships that are like marriages in anything but name. So I'd consider anyone who hooks up with another forum member as potentially the same.
