My better half and I were setting up our new TV stand today, and we realized the moron cable installation guy barely gave us ANY slack in our coaxial cable. It comes up through the floor, and we just had a temporary TV/cable box setup before, so we just left the cable box sitting on the floor. Now that we have our cable box sitting on furniture the cable doesn't even come close to reaching. We need an additional 18 inches-2 feet more.

Do they make extenders for coaxial cable? We can't just buy a longer cable because this one goes from outside straight into our house into the box. Is there any other solution?

Yes they make coax extenders. Your local Radio Shack(insert equivalent in different country store name here) should have them...

yea, I've seen them at wal-mart really cheap. it's pretty small and both ends are the knob you normally screw your cable into.
