That's the thing though. It makes all of it's money from shitty skins meant to appeal to the lowest denominator.
I'm not saying that the game doesn't have talented developers and that maybe from a pure gameplay perspective it doesn't have any merits. I'm saying that the success of Fortnite helped contribute to a disgusting predatory industry. They aren't alone, but they essentially kickstarted it.

No i get that but iif they are maps ripped from COD into UEFN then Activision has cause to pull them.
If they are remakes based on what people hand remaking the maps then id imagine its a different story.

Honestly, for all that they're offering for free, they have to make money somehow. I honestly don't think it's that bad, especially when I feel like it could be far more predatory.

Again it's about how Fortnite being so successful with this type of live service/monetization has set a precedent for the industry and changed it for the worse.
I do think it could be worse because I'll admit at least you can see your character unlike COD and at least the entire game is free again unlike COD but I still don't like what it did to the industry.
