COD2 - Infinity Ward Responds To LIVE Problems?

Infinity Ward is aware that some players have experienced challenges with lag issues and we are currently working with Microsoft to create an update that will resolve it. We’re tuning and testing possible solutions, so it’s too early to provide specifics. We are aware of the issues at hand and we will keep you posted as soon as we are able to confirm details surrounding an update. Thank You!

Sincerely,

Infinity Ward

Not sure if this is real, but I thought I'd post it just in case.

So a random message board post by "IWSupport" = Infinity Ward responding to LIVE problems?

remember when this was supposed to be the most polished game at launch?

i think thats what pisses me off the most. at e3, the N. Africa demo was largely the same as the level in the final game. infinity ward always bragged about how well development was going and how far ahead they were, but when the game hit everyone realized how half assed the 360's multiplayer was handled.

Someone at the Xbox forums pointed out that IWSupport has a Community Rating of "D," which apparently stands for "Developer."

I really do hope they patch beyond just the lag issues. I still haven't seen all of the maps because of the random matchmaking. Add a lobby, even if it's just a very basic one, and give us SOME choice. It's infuriating, because when you DO sporadically luck into a good match, it's REALLY good.

This news had better be real.

There are few things so frustrating as giving up trying to play on Live because of lag and connection errors, only to find your single player data has bitten the dust yet again.

I really don't understand how a team can put so much effort into making a game as compelling as CoD2 and yet screw up so many basic aspects of the user's final experience.

The online component of this game is horrendous. I will think twice about buying anything from IW again.

Call of Doodie indeed.
