Recently received a French Press as a gift, so to make full use of it I understand I'd better invest in a grinder. I'm not willing to spend $100+ on the premium units. There's gotta be something decent for half that, no?

How's the Prolex JP-30? It's got my attention for its affordability and high feedback.

Hario makes cheap and decent hand grinders.

Have the Porlex at work. Works fine- you can make the handle fly off if you aren't paying attention. I haven't used it for anything as coarse as French Press though.
