Ok, so school just started and its that time again to get on my diet grind. Im fortunate enough that my school has a salad bar w/ anything you can think of, but I cant eat the same shit for too long. We also have a Chick-Fli-A, and i know thats not the healthiest shit to eat for a diet but.......

I've only recently come to realize how much sodium is in everything. Like that single sandwich has 40% of the DV for a 2,000 calorie diet.

Cook your own food if you have the time and the resources to do so. I'm just starting to do that now since I moved into an apartment, it's fantastic :). I get to control everything I eat.

oh thats cool. you should be alright, dont worry too much about the sodium as long as you are working out a lot.

so are you trying to lose weight then i assume?

not really losing weight just getting rid of fat (6'2 316). So everyday is heavy lifting/jumping rope/running on bike(due to an ankle injury). I just guessed that regime would be the quickest to lose fat. We'll see in a few months.

The dining commons at my school was about the worst place to think about dieting. I don't know if they're like this at most big schools these days, but all the residence hall commons at Penn State are buffet style. The food at West Halls (Waring Commons) was actually half-decent too. There we had the main entrees, a salad bar, a sandwich bar (working in the dishroom sometimes, I hated how often I'd see a wholly uneaten sandwich roll in on the conveyer belt), a pizza and pasta bar, and a stir-fry bar. And to top it off, there was always some of the ice cream made on-campus by the Penn State Creamery available at every meal (even breakfast) along with a wide array of toppings. :D

Let's just say I'm not the one to ask for advice, anyway.
