Draft scouts hate it when QBs transfer, because they perceive it as a "lack of loyalty", so I don't think him leaving is as much of an eventuality as some believe
He has the talent to get his job back, but you can't take Fromm out when he's playing as well as he is, and he could start at a number of D1 schools
I would hate to be in the position to have to make that kind of decision

That was the whole reason you guys fired Les. Les got you guys ~10 wins every year but couldn't get over the Bama hump so you fired him to get a guy that could. Hopefully that works out for y'all

The most recent episode of the shutdown fullcast has a segment where they talk about that buyout. They want LSU to go after Jimbo, pay his 40 mil buyout, and go so far in debt that the rest of the SEC has to bail them out.

Looking at stat stuff. Jalen Hurts leading Alabama in rushing seemed alarming to me until I realized he's not getting that many carries. His YPC are just ridiculous. I don't think he's improved as a runner (because it's hard to improve on elite), but our line is so much better and his passing is backing defenses off, so he's able to pick his spots better and be way more efficient. I'm not sure there are 3 players in the country better on the move with the ball in their hands, honestly.

Well for one, you have 12 million reasons why that is bad.
Two, As a Browns fan, that loses its appeal after the first decade or so..
Why would the conference do that? They are not getting Jimbo unless Jimbo actively decides to say fuvk it (why would he?).
LSU deserves to become the Rutgers of the South if that's truly the plan.

This happens a lot more than people think.
Player X gets hurt for an extended period which means Player Y gets playing time. Player Y finally has time to shine, and then Player X is left wondering wtf when they get done with rehab.
A high 4 then ;pFromm was only a 4*.

It's also somewhat valuable to realize that a lot of advanced metrics showed that last year's team wasn't as bad as the record showed, they lost a crap ton of one score games in the 4th quarter because of a horrible defensive scheme and poor conditioning. Both of those problems were rectified with new hires.

Yep. 4-8 could've been 8-4 or better really easily.
I think praising Notre Dame for only losing to UGA by 1 makes more sense than knocking UGA for only beating them by 1 at this point, in any case.

As a private school they don't need to disclose his compensation, but even what they disclose generally puts him in the top 10 or 20 in coaching salary every year. Add in the "hidden" stuff and it honestly wouldn't surprise me if he was top 5.

Ha thanks, I'm already in a pretty active D2 clan. But I still play with a bunch of people outside of it too. No one in mine is very interested in running trials for example, so I've been meaning to find others who would be.

Transfer rules in this case suck, but idk how to change them for their not to be loop holes.
Ideally I'd like Eason to be able to transfer without sitting out a year. I can see how that could be gamed though.

I know you're joking but that game shouldn't be half bad unless Wake has a let down week.
I mean you can take a family of 4 for much less than the price of 1 ticket to a good game so really, it's a bargain.

The media seems to be just as in awe as I am that Daboll seemingly has our offense running smoother than Kiffin did in his time here. I think some of that has got to be attributable to the SEC being further in decline and Daboll actually having a QB that isn't starting for the first time to work with. But as great as he was, Kiffin's style of calling plays left a ton of room for error, and it showed. If nothing else, we start a hell of a whole lot faster.
I forgot my dad hasn't been to an Alabama game since the 2011 game of the century against LSU. He's super pumped for the game Saturday lol. It'll be the first one we've been to together in the Saban era. Almost makes me hope A&M puts up an entertaining fight. Almost.
