Colo(u)rs: Gizmondo killer app?

No matter how awesome the games are, I don't think I'll ever be able to get over that name. They might as well have called it 'A Tiny Johnson', so whenever you advertise the fact that you have one you'll be saying 'I've got a tiny johnson'. It has some awesome features, and it sounds like some quality software lined up, but that name... Absolutely terrible.

Very impressive. Looks way ahead of what the DS can do. I thought this thing was supposedly "underpowered" ? Looks like PSP quality to me.

How does Gizmondo compare to PSP? That movie looked very good graphically, very impressive IMO. I hope GTA PSP looks as good or better.

The Turf War feature sounds pretty cool too.

Gizmondo uses nVIdia's mobile chip GoForce 4500. If you look up the specs for it, you'll see that it's more powerful than DS (has texture filtering among other things :P), but less powerful than PSP. If you've seen the video, you'd see that THPS:U on PSP looks substantially better, (an example of game placed in large, realistic looking environments)

Wasn't it posted on this forum that the "THUG"-video was from the PS2 ?

Not that I know. The video had PSP aspect ratio and looked very much like 'work in progress'. I missed one month of news, so I could be wrong, though.

Regardless, PSP just has better specs, but Gizmondo's last problem is it's graphics, IMO. THe thing just looks ugly as sin, and has a very small screen to boot

Yes, it uses GPS to locate 'gangs'. If you (physically) enter another gangs turf, you will fight/interact with them in the game.
Which country had some gamers beating the crap out of other gamers in gaming cafes because the former was beaten at a game of Everquest? Whichever country it was, I hope, for the safety of the players, that it's not the Gizmondo's strongest market.

Korea, wasn't it? GPS is a cool idea, but I sure as hell wouldn't want to be on the end of the inevitable lawsuit.
