It's $15 a month for me, which is $9 or so more than my old box. I don't have a picture of it, but it's silver and a bit "sleeker" than my old digital one. It has different outputs as well, including hi-definition. Channel surfing's slower because it's always buffering what you're watching, but not terrible. A lot like the original digital boxes actually. Good stuff overall, even though you can't program an entire season ala Tivo (or you can and I haven't found that option). I like it.

Pros: Buffers an hour, pause live television, ff and rw. Stores approximately 40 hours of saved programming. The guide is a bit better than the usual Comcast guide.

Cons: Much slower than my regular digital box. No "program season" function.

OMFG HOLY MOTHER OF MARY IN HEAVEN I CANT BELIEVE IT WTF WHERE ARE MY SEDATIVES AAAAHHH
I have the box as well and it raaawx.

Recording and keeping track of shows you've recorded as well as being able to restart the program from the beginning is such a big step up from a VCR. I love it.

The only thing I'm worried about is hard drive space consumption. What happends when you run out of room? Are the hard drives in the DVR boxes easily removable?

Another thing is, I wish I could tape something on a particular channel while watching another one. Is there a better more expensive version you can get with this feature?

Plus, I'd also like to be able to jump to a certain portion of the program. Like say I just got through watching the matrix and I wanna jump to the lobby shootout scene. I can't do that with this DV-R box...can I?

I think removing the hard drive is probably a huge no-no from Comcast.

It warns you when you're running low on space, that's about it.

You can't get a Comcast box that lets you watch one show and tape another. I should have put that on my cons line.

You can't set chapters, which is what you're asking about I think. I don't know if Tivo does that either.
