I've lived with incredibly snowy winters my whole life and I can safely say that no game has managed to capture the feel as good as The Long Dark. It has set the bar so high that every other snowy game disappoints me.
It was very immersion-breaking when I reached the Sky clan in Horizon: FW as some of them were walking around shirtless in freezing temperatures. It makes as much sense to do that as having a desert tribe walking around with bear skins and warm shoes and headgear in the blazing sun.
I loved the winters in the Harvest Moon for GBA. It affected how you took care of the animals and it was quite nice to wander around in the snowy landscape. Taking a bath in the hot tub was pretty cozy.

IMO, the snow levels were the most impressive ones in this game, for that reason.
Gif image doesn't do it justice at 1/3 of frame rate though.

First time is snowed in Cyube VR, that was a moment. The density and accumulation was kinda magical.

The mountain in DS was amazing. That was a Dark Souls style "I....can go there?? Does the hame really want me to do THAT?" experience.

Also a very specific game level from a game i can't remember I think it was on xbox and it was a snowy level with a vehicle where there are big open areas with camps or structures with enemies.
I remember like ice and snow and mountains or hills.
Are there levels like that in one of the halo games? Or gears of war? I recently replayed halon1,2,3 and it wasn't one of those unless I'm misremembering it.
