be canceled sometime soon. Just a hunch. Seems like all the 'new' comics I've gotten into lately either get canceled or will soon be. Except maybe for Conan, but it has such a license behind it and sells so well, I doubt it'll be going anywhere soon.

So, this would be a light week, if I didn't have a double sawbuck's worth of Japanese comics waiting for me...and if there wasn't at least half a C-note of loot already sitting in my bag...

You'd be surprised MASB, the Intimates was actually Wildstorm's best selling book last month. I do think fans will eventually ditch the title though, since Joe Casey obviously doesn't have much of a story to tell.

Huh? All it says is that Miller won an online poll for the ideal writer of the book.

As everyone was departing, and Frazer was getting to know a hillock rather well, Rich Johnston arrived with the results of the "All-Star Batman & Robin" vote, where Lying In The Gutters readers chose their ideal writer for Jim Lee on the book.

Rich Johnston pulled out the result. "The winner" he announced to the dead air "is Frank Miller." He folded the piece of paper into four, pressed a pin through it and stuck it into a voodoo doll of Paul Levitz. The deed was done. Frank Miller would be the writer of "All Star Batman & Robin," with Jim Lee on art. Expect an announcement from DC later in the year. Or whenever the Wizard solicitation gets leaked.

The "announcement" seems a bit ambiguous in the context of the article, but Johnston does mean to say that Frank Miller will be the writer of All-Star Batman.

He's been yammering about this on MillarWorld for the past few days, and the whole ideal Batman writer poll (because obviously, everyone would choose Frank Miller) was just an easy set-up for his "breaking news."
