What part of Scotland did you move to ? Just curious as I moved up (as mentioned in my last post) from Essex in 2021 and much prefer it up here. I live in Motherwell just outside Glasgow, I wouldnt want to live in the Glasgow itself and the same goes for Edinburgh.
I love that when im driving about (hgv driver) I can normaly see hills in the distance even if im not driving through them they are there not far away. My wife and I like to go for walks with our dogs so its great we are so close to many great places to walk. I only go down south to see my Dad and to go watch Arsenal a few times of the year, but I dont miss it at all down there.

Just interested as you didnt like it up here and I love it, sometimes places just arnt right for us. I hope you have settled back in down south though and back on track.

Just outside Dundee (please don't ask how I ended up there, it is what it is), but I spent a fair bit of time travelling across Scotland and staying in hotels during my time there. From Montrose all the way to Irvine, a really beautiful experience. I'm not slating Scotland per se, I just couldn't settle up there. The cold was the worst part. A lot to love about Scotland though, I really enjoyed driving up there too, no speed cameras in most places.

thanks mate, was wondering. Was a big worry when we moved up if we would like living up here, I have family dotted all over Scotland that have moved up through the years so had been up many times but its 1 thing visiting for leisure and another thing moving up, working ect but thankfully we both like it. It is good driving up here as you say, im a truck driver so im on the roads most days, have some great views which makes the job better.
 
Good. That means the days will start getting shorter until the first day of Winter.

It still being light out at fucking 8:30 PM is insane. Though DST has something to do with that, too.

Fuck summer so much. Our AC stopped working a couple days ago and it just so happens to be one of the hottest weeks where I'm at. We had to buy a couple of window AC units until the landlord can get someone out here to fix it, but it's still too hot in many of the rooms.

I hate snow, but at least in the winter, I can sleep better. It's much easier to fall asleep in a freezing house, cuz I can just bundle up. Trying to sleep while sweating my ass off is near impossible sometimes no matter how tired I am.
 
I'm laying in steaming hot shower trying to pass kidney stone right now that's how hot it has been in the Midwest . It's only thing that will help and I'd rather die than get stuck with hospital bill. If I stop posting it's cuz I died ✌️y'all can have my 24 btc's
