BATGIRL #60
BATMAN #636
NIGHTWING #102
RICHARD DRAGON #9
ROBIN #134
AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #516
FANTASTIC FOUR #522 - I'm a sucker for story arcs with Galactus in them.
NEW X-MEN #9
SPECTACULAR SPIDER-MAN #24
UNCANNY X-MEN #454
SOULFIRE #3 - love the look/art... story... eh... too slow to tell so far.
BATMAN #636 - Is this part of Lapham's run?
FLASH #218
SLEEPER SEASON TWO #8 (OF 12) (MR)
WE 3 #3 (OF 3) (MR) - FINALLY
ULTIMATE X-MEN #55 - I've missed most of this arc so far but isn't
Picked up #635 on a whim last week, not having anything else to buy and being drawn in by the Doug Mahnke artwork. One absolutely kickass fight scene and several major plot developments later, and I'm hooked in and wanting to see where Winick's taking this runaway train.
I forgot to ask my store to pull WE 3 #3
But I was able to pick up these books (this and last weeks list combined):
FLASH #218
SLEEPER SEASON TWO #8 (OF 12) (MR)
ULTIMATE X-MEN #54
ULTIMATE X-MEN #55
Majestic #1 - The Alternate cover
Powers #8
Wanted #6
Ultimate Spiderman #71
Soulfire #3
Daredevil #69
Wolverine #24
We3 #3 and new Planetary? Shit, I may have to drag my plague-ridden ass over to the comic shop this afternoon and pick up the past three weeks worth of comic book goodness that's just sitting there. Let's see how badly this week is going to bone my comics budget:
Samurai Executioner Vol. 3 - Jack shit for six months and suddenly Dark Horse discoveres a schedule again. Couldn't you guys have waited until I didn't have such a large backlog to pick up? Alas, I am unable to resist the old-school samurai brutality.
THE HELL STICK. Yes, please.
Planetary #22 - Hopefully the soothing power of Planetary will help ease the pain of my godawful cold.
We3 #3 (of 3) - Ditto.
Y: The Last Man #30 - Ditto ditto.
Ultimate FF #15 and Ultimate X-Men #55 - Fun enough, but these both pale utterly in comparison to the triple feature listed above.
Sleeper Vol. 2 #8 - I can't believe I missed seeing this on the list. Can you tell I'm sick?
Samurai Executioner Vol. 3 - Jack shit for six months and suddenly Dark Horse discoveres a schedule again. Couldn't you guys have waited until I didn't have such a large backlog to pick up? Alas, I am unable to resist the old-school samurai brutality.
BATMAN #636 *hmmm.. who is the red hood? nopt jason that's for sure....*
FLASH #218
JLA CLASSIFIED #3
Y THE LAST MAN #30
LEGION OF SUPER HEROES #2
WE 3 #3 (OF 3)
For any Toronto comic buyers, Silver Snail's got a sale going on at least some of the comics where they charge the US price in Canadian money. Pretty sick deal. Don't know how long it lasts, but I assume it's to the end of the month. 1,000,000 Comix usually does a similiar sale during Boxing week, which is when I like to snag a few graphic novels.

FLASH #218 - I really like what Geoff Johns is doing with these characters. I haven't been reading the Flash for too long but from what I've seen from his villain gallery they don't really seem er.. bad. This issue deals with Heat Wave's origin. While it did seem a little bit cliched to me the way that it's told is just, wow. You have to read it to understand.
SLEEPER SEASON TWO #8 - This issue deals with Miss Misery... it's more of the same from Brubaker which is very good, and seems to be setting up some things that should be very interesting in later issues.
ULTIMATE X-MEN #54/55 - I'm still a little pissed that Vaughn
already got rid of Rogue
but I guess that's something I'll have to deal with. There are a lot of familiar faces that were introduced in these issues and I'm still on the bubble on whether or not I like them. I'll keep reading until the arc is done though.
Powers #8 - Bendis do no wrong with Powers in my eyes. A great continuation of last issue and his writing of the Powers message board seems very spot on.
Wanted #6 - For some reason I really didn't care for this issue. I can't quite put my finger on it but something just didn't sit well with me. I'll probably read the entire series again to see if I feel the same way.
Ultimate Spiderman #71 - eh, I think i'm going to drop Ultimate Spiderman. This two part Dr. Strange arc just didn't really deliver anything new or exciting. However, I do feel like the last few pages were well done.
Soulfire #3 - guilty pleasure.. i'm sure no one else is reading this title so I'll skip over it.
Daredevil #69 - The one thing about this arc that I really love are the flashbacks. The distinction of the paper, colors and art are great. I think this is a precursor to the events that happened in last issue. Can't wait to see how things get resolved.
Wolverine #24 - Millar seemed to be phoning this in ... which is fine as it's a Wolverine title and should just deliver non stop action... which it does. The next issue wraps up his first arc and I'll probably stick around to see what else is coming up.
WTF I thought we were suppose to find out who Red Hood was in Batman 636... did I miss a page?
Quick Thoughts:
BATGIRL #60 - setup issue... not much goin on... that is a kickass cave she got.
BATMAN #636 - See above
NIGHTWING #102 - Nightwing feels like a book that is on hiatus and still being written and printed....
ROBIN #134 - I. Cannot. Stand. This. ART! Still another twist in Drake's family...
AMAZING SPIDER-MAN #516 - ZZZzzzz
FANTASTIC FOUR #522 - I'm a sucker for story arcs with Galactus in them, and this one hasn't disapointed... interesting resolution... which reminds me... anybody reading Beta Ray Bill? That was... kinda weird what they did with Galactus in that book... I've never seen that... form before...
NEW X-MEN #9 - Wow I could SO care less... book seriously on the bubble...
UNCANNY X-MEN #454 - lame final page and quote.... also characters who have been around for years who have to remind each other what their powers are... ugh... but I guess there's a whole new generation of folk who probably aren't familiar with the Hellfire Club...(ah the Phoenix/Dark Phoenix storyline... those were the days...).... Some interesting resolutions and a few new directions for some characters.
FLASH #218 - I really like what Geoff Johns is doing with these characters. I haven't been reading the Flash for too long but from what I've seen from his villain gallery they don't really seem er.. bad.
Which is part of the beauty of the Flash's rogues. The whole 'honor among thieves' thing ties them together, and most of them aren't black-pit-of-utter-darkness-evil, just guys that get their kicks robbing banks. They're also smart enough to know that killing people is the worst thing for them, because then the authorities (and Wally) will come down on them harder than ever.
I think it's great that the book tries to humanize them so much, it makes them far more interesting as people, and not as just fodder for Wally to apprehend. I really like the panels with them just shooting the shit.
Well, there's another loose end from Identity Crisis that's getting wrapped up... remember that Amazo android that was supposedly on the black market? Well,
it just showed up on the final page of Batman #636... and Batman and Nightwing are in for a world of hurt. X_X

Any Galactus or cosmic fans need to check out this issue, stat! Any Quasar apperance is always awesome, too. I can't wait to see what Galactus' fate is...
