I got that special edition batman comic in the post today,read through it and now I'm buying the Hush TPB's.I'm a sucker for purty art and action.

Also it has a nice ad for Batman and Robin the boy wonder in it,if I hadnt had gotten the free issue I wouldnt have known it was hitting in July cause I really dont keep up with comics anymore,but I cant pass on a Miller/Lee combo.

Maybe STREET ANGEL VOL 1 TP... I read the first issue and thought it was kind of good. I didn't go, like, totally nuts for it, but it was cool. If the shop has it I might get it. I see the second Scott Pilgrim thing listed... I kind of want to check out both of those. Maybe, I guess. It got some good reviews from people who wouldn't normally seem to like that sort of thing.

Uh, I barely glanced at it, but didn't the last issue end with an "Orpheus" twist?

They were leaving Hell (or wherever the heck they were) with Ice in tow, on condition that none of them look at her until they're all safely away. However, Bea couldn't help but turn and look to see if Ice was still following behind, and when she did Tora disappeared back into the afterlife.

It's totally Orpheus, and I don't see Giffen throwing that away by bringing her back anyway.

What is this?

Story revolving around Ra's Al Ghul's post-humous letter to Batman. With Devin Grayson writing, and Paul Gulacy drawing, this is garbage you want to avoid.

Might I recommend last week's issue of Batman: Legends of the Dark Knight instead? Curtis Johnson and JH William's portrayal of a young, impatient Batman is intriguing. Seth Fisher's art is a sight to see, too:
