Shining Knight #3 - Man, Seven Soldiers is all kinds of awesome. Seven kinds, even.
Wonder Woman #217 - Wonder Woman isn't quite awesome, but reasonably entertaining.
Runaways #5 - And this just plain kicks ass, particularly for all you recovering Marvel Zombies out there.

Slow week, but I'm not complaining.

Certain people used to take the time to post covers. But it turns out that nobody cared, and they didn't draw more people in to the thread, so certain people just stopped bothering with it.

But, I agree. The cover art doesn't increase the number of replies in this thread. It's still the same 8-10 diehards that post in these comic book day theads, and until that number changes, I don't really see a point in trying again. I'll post a link to the week's first look previews next time. Maybe that'll help.

Jesus christ, this week's issue of THE FLASH was just goddamned amazing. Remember how high the stakes were raised in Flash #197-200? Well, the stakes are raised even higher in this most recent arc...

After beating up the entire gang of Rogues, Zoom introduces Eobard Thawne (Zoom I) who shows up at the end of the issue with Jay Garrick chained to the front of the cosmic treadmill. That's right, Zoom I and Zoom II teaming-up. Wally West is most certainly fucked.

Oh, and Batman, Green Lantern, and OMAC Project were great as well. Awesome week.

No copies of Solo at my shop. Sad day. It wasn't even on their list of stuff that came out. Those no-good bastards.

Shining Knight is kind of giving me that head spinning sensation. I don't really know how I feel about that book. It's not like I'm confused about the plots of the seven soldiers books, I just can't really process it all properly right now. It's kind of fun as a week to week experience, though.

I don't think we had a thread the week it came out, but I think that Vimanarama is the best book I've read this year. A great cap to the Seaguy / we3 / Vim explosion. I hope Morrison has more minis like that planned on the other side of seven soldiers.

Me too, so I'm always several weeks behind, but it saves us a good bit of money getting them from Westfield, plus you don't have to put up with rude clerks and stinky fanboys in the comic shops.
