I just can't resist a story about Peter Parker and Matt Murdock going to the same psychiatrist for their super-hero problems.
If you want superheroes going to the shrink:
X-Factor 87. Peter David sends the team to counseling, courtesy of Doc Savage. It's glorious to behold.
On the list:
Sleeper Season 2, #1 (of 12) - Presumably, everyone reading this thread will be buying this comic.
Avengers/Thunderbolts #5 (of 6) - The reasonably entertaining saga continues! This is enjoyable enough as a mini, but it's a good thing they aren't trying to make it ongoing.
Ultimate FF #8 - I was afraid Ellis was going to crap out the last issue for a quick buck. I was pleasantly suprised to see that, while he's still in it for a quick buck, he's doing a decent job. Good stuff.
Ultimate X-Men #48 - Speaking of good stuff, Brian Vaughn's run has been great sto far. Dare I say it? Is the Ultimate line solid across the board? No, wait, they still churn out an issue of The Ultimates every few months...
X-Statix #24 - Because, if you're going to be cancelled, it may as well be in a goofy homage to the Defenders/Avengers War. Terrific fun!
And the manga release of the week:
Please Save My Earth Vol. 5 - Late 80's shoujo SF with reincarnated aliens, psychic powers, and a sprinkle of angst? Yes, please!
I'm also pleased to see that NBM is publishing another volume in the
Cities of the Fantastic series, Invisible Frontier. I'm horribly behind on these, so I doubt I'll be picking this up just yet, but it's definately on my shopping agenda for the near future.
