I want to get all the rebirth deluxes but thats gonna mean getting some potentially shit ones (like this) or actually shit ones (Justice League)

I think they're having a buy 2 get 1 free deal on Viz manga, but that's all I'm aware of.

B &N stores and the website are different entities so they won't price match. All their best deals are online (when you get to use coupons and offers on already discounted books). Usually nothing much going on in store.

I think I will probably get all of them except Justice League. Maybe I'll get that if I ever find it for like $5 just for collector's sake, but I have no plans for it. As for Action Comics, I mean, yeah, it's definitely got one of the more mixed receptions for Rebirth comics, but I've seen plenty of people who really like it too. I'm just going into it knowing that it's going to be mostly action.

IST is delayed on action? That might sway it. I can't risk it being delayed too heavily from delivery.
The only places worth buying comics in the US are online tbqh.

Adorable. VanWinkle thinks DC won't change the spine designs halfway through the series or stop putting out hardcovers altogether.
I haven't watched it yet, but here's an Hastings Gwenpool interview were he apparently reveals things about the character/book.

I'll be happy if they keep the design for a year. They kept the New 52 design for like 4 years and DCYou for a year or so, and that was a half-hearted rebranding. We'll see.

Not really. it tries to summarize and introduce most of the main characters of the Valiant Universe and give you the main story beats that have happened so far, but doesn't do a good job of it. It's too cursory, I would imagine would be very confusing for someone who hasn't read at least some of the comics already, and the art is nothing special. You'd be better off just reading a quick Wikipedia article.
Watching the full one rn and really enjoying this

Got a long weekend this starting tomorrow so I'm gonna start My Favorite Thing is Monsters. Really excited after your praise. It looks great.
I certainly was.
Sites like Bleedingcool were always calling it a "relaunch that isn't a relaunch" and Marvel just called it an initiative, but there are a lot of people unhappy with Marvel's line so people wanted big changes to creative teams and books like with Rebirth.
Yeah, seemed like a lot of people were disappointed that Legacy wasn't actually anything but covers and one mini-series.
I'm still expecting what they said when Legacy was announced for various reasons.

He wanted a team that was about the people, and the easiest way to do that would be to pick a combination of flawed beings (Lobo, Killer Frost, Ryan Choi) and heroes that the people love and relate to (Black Canary, The Ray, Vixen).
Detective is what really introduced me to Kate and got me to like her. I got super invested in her character, and I liked the lead in as well. Hell, she was dope in Night of the Monster Men (a fucking bad crossover). Then her solo started up and I liked the Rebirth issue, but after that it's been whatever.
Nightwing's is pretty close.

Issue 11 of Mia Goodwins' Tomboy finally arrived, and it didn't disappoint. Criminally underrated, and a breath of fresh air since Marvel and DC haven't been interesting to me.
Hopefully she gets better and can do more work, its going to be a long wait for the final issue!

Cute and nice ending to Rucka's run, but it also just feels kind of empty. It just makes me realize we got so little from this run other than just invalidating other runs. We end up ending right where I want more from Rucka. Also thought Sharpe's art was kind of down this issue and usually I love his art.

Those are considerably more expensive though.
