My Gamestop left a message saying they're doing a Monday night release for Horizon, but I can pick it up at 9pm instead of midnight. They just want everyone to come and get all the payment stuff done beforehand. Yesssss.

Started reading Darkseid War: Power of the Gods. The Batman issue was a bit of a mess really. But after starting the Flash issue, I realised maybe this wasn't the main Darkseid War arc.

Messi drops Marvel and he stops reading books. Coincidence? I think not.
In all seriousness I've been lazy with my reading lately. I'm more curious about books in the coming months.
Its mostly true. I read the average marvel books every week to stay afloat. When I dropped them I didn't feel an urge to go elsewhere. I will soon I am sure but here we are now.
Dropping Marvel wholesale will likely be the best thing that will happen to me in comics. Breaking that cycle of needing to read everything regardless of quality. Felt like a job when really I am supposed to be reading for fun.
The other companies don't do it enough for me outside of a few books and what they put out has always felt completely different.
This summer is going to be an interesting time for comics in general.

That's just how I have always been with comics.
You could buy statues or art from comics you have never read (coughdeadgirlcough)
You'll never catch me buying statues at those prices.
I'll come back when they put digital codes back in the books. I don't care what they do before that. Honestly.

What's funnier is that he is legit doing this for shits and giggles. It's not a teaser or anything... He just likes Mera and the palette lol. He seems to have no interest in doing actual projects that aren't his own creations. I love that.

Only books for me this week are Shade and Flintstones. Nice to have a back to back of two of my favorite ongoings at least.
Been playing Nier Automata pretty much nonstop since yesterday morning, just started the third playthrough this evening. It's dope. Trying to finish it before the Switch comes out lol. So backed up on my ongoings though

Sad that Sejic removed the Mera piece from his twitter. I'd buy a Mera mini-series or OGN from him. He's a good fit for the setting what with his great monsters etc.

All of Chos Harley variants have been really fun and in the tone of the book. Good stuff.

I didn't like what I read of Action Comics.
Just Superman. That book is incredible.

Most of Action has been pretty bad but this month's two issues lead directly into the Superman Reborn storyline. You may want to check them out. Superman is probably the best capes book that DC publishes right now.

Saw Lego Batman Friday and it's honestly in the top three batman movies.

Yeah, this Darkseid War: Power of the God seems like bits of left over what-if stuff. Sat through a rather boring Flash issue to find a Manapul Superman issue. Dropping.
Takara didn't even have these pages in folders at nycc. Hilarious. It was just a pile of pages.

It's great in de-stressing me. Can just put on a podcast and run around the world or fish for a few hours and I'm alright. Used to put in Shadow of Mordor for that before and Skyrim/Fallout New Vegas back on the PS3.
