The Uncanny Inhumans #20
Kludge for secret MVP. Also, this was the best of all the IvX tie-ins by far. BY. FAR. I also really like the epilogue in that it finally addresses
They've been saying that shit for awhile, so we had better find out in Prime or Royals. Solid ending to Soule's Inhumans saga.
The Unworthy Thor #5
Oh laaaaaawd in heaven, that was dope as fuck. I can safely say that the whisper was pretty good. I liked it, and I like Thor's newfound resolve, AND I like Beta Ray Bill with the morale booster. Like, damn. This was a good series. There are two major questions I have:
All in all, a great mini-series. Tons of great action and dialogue. And hot damn that ART.

Jessica Jones #6
Well well well, that was a nice wrap-up to a lost end. Fun fun fun and jesus christ was that dark. Now, however, we have the real meat of all of this: Luke and Jessica's relationship. First of all, Jess' mom is the worst. Second, this should be an easy fix. A shaky one, and some trust will need to be patched back up, but an easy one none the less. And since that's all cleared up, I genuinely have no idea where this book will go next, but boy does it feel great to have that feeling.
Power Man and Iron Fist #14
I love this book, but I have to say, whenever they say "Street Magic" in a serious way I have to try not to laugh. "The Grandmaster of Street Magic"? Come on. This book is somehow getting darker and yet more ludicrous at the same time. Still, high stakes and all that. Saturday morning cartoon shit right here.
Captain America: Steve Rogers #14
So the pieces continue to move on the board, in an issue that's something I've already read. At least, the first part. The rest, though: this brings into light for me a lore question that I wasn't aware of (and I did read Hickman's Secret Warriors):
Good book is good.

Why was Hela's realm taken from her? I assume in Thor God of Thunder, but since I didn't read that (yet), I am curious. This cosmic shit is dope as fuck. Also RIP Proxima, you were definitely a villain. My other question is: who is it that grabs Mjolnir at the end? Could it be the return of a previous Thor? Or has Odinson come back to take it? Maybe it's Eric Masterson? I doubt it, and since I know nothing about him, I don't even know how he'd come back.
All in all, a great mini-series. Tons of great action and dialogue. And hot damn that ART.

Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmkay, so it turns out
Maise can summon hellbeasts. I feel like she's subconsciously affecting other people. We've seen at least one other person with the same eyes as her (the dude that tells Jen where to find her apartment), and they said the same thing about the apartment building being the only safe place. I'm assuming that Maise and this hellbeast are somehow "protecting" the building. Who is really in control, though? That's the interesting question, and I think it reflects within Jen as well: who is in control? The Hulk, or Jen, and this also ties into how trauma like this makes you feel like you have no control, which makes it even harder.
I really like what's being done with this book.

was Hydra built with the Demiurge in mind? That's the Many-Angled ones, right? The Cancerverse and Shuma Gorath and all that? Was that always like that, or is this a new reveal? And if so, for what purpose? Was Hydra's ultimate purpose to bring the Demiurge to Earth? I also want to say that I like how they're making it so Red Skull was alway's a villain to Steve and never an ally at any point.
Good book is good.
So how has Aquaman been faring in DC Rebirth? I probably get around to the trades sooner or later, since I went to checked out the new 52 series when it came out and had enjoyed least the first couple arcs of it (through I eventually dropped the series at around issue 20 when I was losing interests in looking at comic issues at the time).

It's alright. Better than before Abnett took over, worse than Johns's run. It benefited from the relaunch.

I'd pick either GL #15 or the Wild Storm #1. Ellis packed so much into that first issue and it still didn't feel rushed. Having him back in this world is awesome.

I don't really have any strong preferences over her old design vs her current one. Old one was good, and the new one improved since Conner became involved and became fine. The original one used in Suicide Squad at the start of New 52 was kind of bad.
It doesn't help that now they have given Harley permanent white skin.

Yeah, that entire arc is very reminiscent of The God Butcher/Godbomb, though I didn't enjoy it as much. Maybe it was because I was reading it in singles but the latter part of the arc really dragged and I ended up dropping it not long after.
To be honest it felt like Aaron was copying his God Butcher storyline straight over.
But instead of killing all Gods, its killing all sorcerers.
Those were the two it came down to for me as well. I gave the nod to Lanterns because of how well it dealt with anxiety.

Well, I'm only on issue 8 so I'll hold my own verdict off, but I'm enjoying it so far. I highly doubt I'll come out of this thinking it's as good as God butcher/bomb, it's too late for that already tbh, but I've been enjoying the book anyway. I really consider that first year of Thor on another level to most other stuff.
I really loved the whole revelation in volume 1 regarding Wong, excited to see how that impacts the story, it feels like that's where a large deviation could occur, given Stephen isn't even aware.
Also, between Mighty Thor vol 2 and Strange vol, that's two references to Shou Lao. Aaron tipping his hand that he wants Iron Fist?

Someone pointed out that he looks/sounds like he wrestles gators. I fucking love that.
Just finished the The Shade maxiseries by James Robinson from 2011. It was fantastic. Robinson did a great job channeling that older style of writing that he used to be so amazing at. I didn't love that artists switched so often, but it didn't hamper my enjoyment too much. I adored his Times Past 3-part story and it even ended really well.

About half way through Route C right now and yea, it's incredible. I'll be surprised if another game can touch it narratively for me for the rest of the year. It's so strong thematically and with it's character beats. Plus it can really nail an epic cinematic moment. The title card/cutscene for Route C is incredible.

Captain Marvel #1 - #5: This looks like fun. Though the writing is sub par at times and Carol's decision making seems to be based on WWHJD**, the art is very nice and the setting is interesting. Let's see how the second trade is.
