I'm considering buying it, but I've heard some people complain about issues with the download. Did anyone here have any problems?

My guess is its not rated. AFAIK, you only need a rating if you're planning to sell it in retail stores (Walmart and several other stores wont carry unrated games iirc) or on consoles. It looks like you can only buy this from their site though so it's a bit pointless for them to bother getting it rated.
I loved that little touch.
You can actually see it in all of Mark's interactions with the other love interests.

Finished the demo. It's pretty cute and also pretty hot at the same time. I think I might buy it. That way I can support something worthwhile, broaden my gaming horizons and check out porn all at the same time.

You have to start over again but the demo really doesn't get that far.

On the topic my name being used for the protagonist tripped me out a couple of times.
Yeah this was legit my biggest disappointment with the game.

Yep! This one especially because it's pretty much the first of its kind. (North American commercially developed gay dating sim.) With the added bonus that it is extremely well done.

Honestly, with that route
I found I didn't really care for the plot of the route itself or the whole band thing, but I think Jed's actual character was really refreshing
...by just the right amount to irrationally increase my attraction to the character while avoiding being a complete imbecile. He needs help, but he's not hopeless.

Porn games are definitely not allowed on iOS, and there isn't really a way to sideload.

On the topic of the routes, I haven't done Phil's yet but so far my ranking goes:
Brad>Ian>>>>Jed>>>Alex
I think all the guys are hot but Jed's story is really boring and Alex's is far too difficult to enjoy (even if it does have some of the more steamy scenes). Brad and Ian are just right with Brad winning only because of the jock appeal.

Finally played through all of them now including Ian. And holy shit the heat turned up considerably with him. I know Ian is set up to be "THE One" with the longest journey, the longest steamy scenes, that perfect ending, and a pent-up jealously that will literally kill him years later to see you with another guy...

My review: It's awesome, buy it.
But seriously, COOT is one of my favorite games of the year, and this is the year of Bayonetta 2 and Super Smash Bros. It's basically the Portal of gay dating sims. (Horrible comparison lol, but stay with me here.) Hilarious, engaging, really replayable but way too short. So yeah, I can't recommend it enough.
