I'm wondering if Star Trucker was one of the trailers from this year's Summer Game Fest that I had my eye on. Yes, it was. I shall give that a go for sure.

Definitely going to play Riders Republic and Expeditions. Lost many hours of my life to Mudrunner and Snowrunner so looking forward to giving it a go. Riders Republic just looks like crazy fun.

Expeditions is okay, but somehow a disappointment after Snowrunner. I couldn't bring myself to spend much time with it. Maybe when the DLCs are out. I bought one of the expensive editions because the kids wanted it. But they're not really happy with it either and are playing Snowrunner again. But you can play it, especially if it's in the pass anyway. There are far worse ways to spend your time.

You guys have to look at the big picture… I paid about $200 for 2.5 years of Game Pass Ultimate.

Since then I’ve played Jedi Survivor, Persona, Call of Duty, Diablo, Age of Empires, and now Age of Mythology (all on top of a bunch of other games).

I’ve gotten my money’s worth for sure.

Which big picture? That I should subscribe to more and more subscriptions that get more and more expensive over the years? I have access to GPU because my husband still subscribes to it. And I just can't get used to it. I've bought everything I've played in the last few months. And I'm happy with that. I've installed a few games from GPU over the last few months. And didn't end up playing them, if only because I don't like hoping that they'll stay in long enough. With AoMR, I'm actually not sure whether my husband only bought the upgrade or the game itself. But then that would be the only thing I would have touched with GPU for a long time.

Is expeditions co-op?

If not then poop list

I think currently only for Steam. Co-op was announced for summer and should also be available on console soon. Maybe it's already out and I missed it. (https://www.focus-entmt.com/en/news...e-on-steam-embark-on-cooperative-explorations)

If it lasts as long as Snowrunner, you won't have to worry much about it anyway, it's still in the pass today. There were rumours that Snowrunner would stay. Maybe Expeditions will also be one of those games that will be a permanent guest. There will probably be enough DLCs to sell.

If you don’t find value in it, don’t subscribe.

I don’t care to own live service games which most are nowadays, so getting to play these for a while is fine for me.

For what I’ve paid I’ve gotten countless of hours of fun and value. You pay $30 to spend two hours in a dirty movie theater watching trailers and smelling other people’s farts. I’m sure for $20/month or whatever Game Pass costs these days you can scrape together two hours of fun.

Now there's a significant difference: I hardly play any live service games. I'm primarily into single-player games and I like to take plenty of time for them. Mentioned Persona? I bought Persona 5 and 5 Royal on the PlayStation 4 and Royal on the Switch. I'm currently waiting for a sale for Royal on the Xbox. I'm not in a hurry as I'm currently in the second cycle of SMTVV and Metaphor is coming in autumn.

In the meantime, I'm passing the time with Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition. It's been years since I played that game. At launch, to be precise. I don't know if it's in the pass, I bought it. My problem with GPU is that the first party games of this gen don't meet my taste. The third party games that interest me I either bought somewhere else a long time ago and/or they are extensive and I don't want to play them under time pressure via the subscription. I've never subscribed to GPU myself and I'm not going to. The subscription doesn't get any cheaper and the games don't stay forever. At some point I'll have to pay to keep playing because it runs out or I'll have nothing. I have what I buy. Not even first party games stay forever and I have a problem with that. I sometimes go back to Forza Horizon 1 to 3. I would have had to buy them anyway, no Game Pass. No thanks, then I can buy my games, I like playing old stuff.

It's great if the pass is something for you. It doesn't fulfil my needs and is simply not for people who play like me. It's more for fast food gaming. I don´t like this.

I'm subscribed for years at a big discount, so it doesn't really matter to me, but it's probably not the best idea for Microsoft to raise the price and then have two weak months of Game Pass releases in a row.
