An American advert for Zelda on NES.

I just don't understand this. Why have they got a stereotypically nerdy kid with a 'cool' one mixing and playing Nintendo? Why did they fill the rap with enemies' names that would go over heads? And what's the significance of the line "Your parents hook it up"? How on earth is that supposed to make the game or NES seem appealing!?

God I'm confused :(

I want to know why Billy Mays keeps yelling at me.
I remember seeing him in an ad about snowboarding gear, self-parody style.

Anyways, I remember a commercial for Jet Grind Radio that I saw on MTV or something that was clearly made by someone on the influence of something illegal. Someone help me out here.

I dont get the racist undertones people are talking about from the PSP ads.

The one that was racist was the one with the white chick being dominant over the black chick with the slogan "white is coming", meaning the white PSP is coming out

Can't find it for the life of me right now but there is one specific Sega ad that has to do with Rods and Cones in somebodies head freaking out.

That ad was so weird.

You don't get it? the dustballs guys sound like the worst mexican stereotype ever. the squrrels sound like the worst black youth stereotype ever.

Not a TV commercial, and not really a "commercial" by any means, but in this area there's a jewelry store owned by a guy named "Steven Singer" whose entire ad campaign is centered around four words.

"I HATE STEVEN SINGER!"

They play this sentence on the radio in between songs, during commercial breaks, that's all it is. Four words.

It basically plays on the idea that any publicity is good publicity. And it works too. The first time I heard it, and mind you that's all you hear, nothing about what Steven Singer does, I had to Google it to find out.

It's basically like...

GABBO! GABBO! GABBO!

The one that OnkelC posted, that's actually the first time I've seen it. I've seen imitations before, but this is the first time I've seen the original that started it all. It scared the shit out of me at first but I couldn't stop laughing after that :lol
