My Pc keeps freezing up on me at random moments. It didn't start tilll after I tried to create and burn a DVD. In the middle of burning it just hung. After i rebooted I was redoing the DVD as I didn't save my progress and it stopped as I was doing the chapters. I rebooted and decided to surf the net when bam it happened again. I thought maybe windows got screwed up when I had to hard reboot 4 times in a row so I went to use scan disc to see if I had any problems there and during the process it froze. Thought I'd do a virus scan to make sure it wasn't a virus and mid way though the scan it froze. All these thing had in common were that the system was doing a lot of work, so after the last time I booted into my bios and checked the temp and my CPU was up to 70C and the auto shutdown was set to 75. I'm thinking that it's more likely than not that the CPU is getting overheated and freezing things up. I think I had this same problem last summer. As I'm looking bat the PCHealth screen allong with my temp it show voltage and my +5 V will fluxuate from time to time and I wasn't sure if it's supposed to behave like this. Anyhow anyone have any suggestions on what else I should look at? Thanks.
