hopefully some of you guys will be able to help me - i'm going to be in new york for a month from the start of december, and i'm wanting to see what concerts are on while im there... can anyone name the big ticketing companies in the US so i can check their websites? i know of ticketmaster.. what are the other big uns?? (i live in australia so i have no idea - i've googled them but apart from ticketmaster all that come up are smaller offshoot ticketing agents)

Ticketmaster pretty much has a monopoly. However, if you wanna find what shows are playing, your best bet is to find out what venues are in NY and check their upcoming schedules.

well i was hoping a concert by bjork or nine inch nails would be held in NY , in a three week window, at the end of the year not bloody likely
