Modest Mouse really does suck. I think I am seeing Xiu Xiu on March 15th, French Kicks (definitely) on March 20th, The Wrens on April 9th, and of course OASIS!! on June 20th.

I don't know where all of the Modest Mouse hatred is coming from. GNFPWLBN wasn't the greatest album, but it did have its moments. The Moon and Antarctica is incredible, as is most of their other stuff. My only complaint is that now that they're popular their ticket prices have gone up...

And say what you will about Modest Mouse, they're miles beyond the indie blandness of French Kicks. COME ON!!

The Frech Kicks are quite possibly the most bland band I've ever heard. Wait, wait... Zwan. Zwan, then French Kicks. I was thoroughly unimpressed with them.

I'm going to see Decemberists/Okkervil River on April 9. After that, I'm not so sure. I want to go see Xiu Xiu/The Dead Science end of March, but probably won't happen. April 15 is Out Hud & Hella (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) but I bet I'll have to miss that, too. April 30 for Of Montreal. And I guess that's it until the summer.

On Wednesday I am going to the Ska is Dead II Tour here in Tallahassee, Fl. Bands include: The Know How (famous for Gainesville ska), MU330, Streetlight Manifesto, and Voodoo Glow Skulls. I may or may not leave after Streetlight Manifesto is done. They are the highlight of the show for me, however The Know How do indeed kick ass.

On March 10th in Gainesville, FL (spring break!) I am going to see Reel Big Fish. Hell the fuck yes. I am stoked.
