Condemned is GOLD!!!!

I don't know what to do about this game. On one hand, it looks awesome and is sure to be a great game.... on the other hand, it is hard to justify $60 for something that'll probably take 10 hours to play through once and that's it.

But then again, I've done that before (well, $50) for stuff like God of War... I'm looking forward to advance reviews of this, and they will probably sway my decision more than normal.

This was the first game I preordered. After the Oblivion delay I was seriously hoping it would make launch.

Probably will get the PC version because since my PC can run FEAR, then it should be able to run Condemned right?

The only other 360 game I was interested for launch was Oblivion, since I was doubting my computer could run that one well. But since it is delayed, that gives me more time to get a whole new computer.
 
This is among the three games i'm considering at launch, now that Oblivion is delayed. PGR3 and Madden are the other two, barring any sneaky suprise hits.

LOL too true! Though the two can't be compared, not really. I think I'll probably buy Condemned just to support the releasing of games like this.

Seems like it says "fuck shit up" actually. Which is what the fellow with the crowbar and mask intends to do, it seems. And what am I supposed to be fighting this psycho off with? It looks like I'm holding an empty paper towel roll!

well, I suppose that makes more sense. and it might have a double meaning if they fuck up the plot near the end of the game!

I'm pretty sure that's not a paper towel roll, though. I think he must've stolen a piece of bread from a PC RPG circa 2000 or so.
 
Definitely...after checking out the website recently I REALLY like what I see. My only concern (and it's a big one) is that it may be too dark, but hopefully the flashlight will remedy that. I play all my games on a projector and wile most 'dark' games look just fine, the odd one or two make my eyes bleed.

I wonder if there will be any extras to open up, although if it's 10 hours or more I'll be happy (it was hearing someone post SIX that made me think twice). Anyone know how much the 360 games are going to be in the UK?
 
i will be playing this on day one at midnight in the dark on my new hdtv. and then when i'm done playing and am too scared to sleep, i will put on kameo...and later i will dream about the fairy tale land of kameo instead of abandoned buildings and serial killers.

the developed have said that the game is 15-20 hrs which probably means 10.

It does look like a baguette... I think it's rebar like what's used in construction, though it's an awfully thick piece.

Edit: Doh, redbeard beat me to it, shitty texture for rebar indeed.

OR... your mind will mix both up and you will dream of a fairy tale land run by hobos who want to chop you into little pieces. Suck total. That's why I'm playing this and Madden, cause if the hobos are on the field I'll hit em with the truck stick.
 
Like Resident Evil and Silent Hill are short games but still have a great deal of playing value.
Games like these take me months to complete due to my nerve weakness. :p
I don't really think these kinds of games should be any longer either since you will lose the feeling of scariness when you have started to master the game and just putting stuff in there to make the game long sucks if it has no real playing value, you can only kill so many zombies or bums before it get boring.
But the different achievements in the game should add a great deal of length if you want to do them.

There was a PC version as far as I can remember and there was also a PS3 version....

I think MS bought the exclusivity of this game, those bitches!!!!! :lol

The later vids blow that away. I don't think there will be many haters of Condemned's visuals on Final.

I thought that was suspect. One of the few PC games I'm looking forward to. And my system can handle it. I'm there on release day.
 
Saw it in motion on Attack of the Show tonight.

Looks really good. Framerate looked smooth, everything looked detailed, and the lighting is great.

I planned on waiting for the PC version too but we still don't know when it will be out. I may actually get it for 360 now instead.

Yeah that AotS feature was very cool. Shame I had to watch up until the to see it.
 
i still dont think this could be any more then a great rental, but its good to hear a 360 game gone gold regardless
