You completely glossed over the most important news, that being Kate Bosworth as Lois Lane! Superman better hit that shit, for Truth, Justice and the American way!

EDIT: Linda Cardellini was up for the role? She's a better actress for that part, but I guess we'll have to settle for eye candy.

That cast fucking sucks. Bosworth has a jaw like an alligator. Spacey will play this exactly like he plays everything else. Though I'm sure the bulk of this forum worships him so feh... I'm just glad I had no hope for this from the get go, and I love Superman.

Dude, I tried to edit that into the title (before your first post, no less), but it was too late. Check the title of the first post for proof!

it's all on mono as far as i'm concerned. he should have A)provided eye-candy of the new lois lane which would have forced me to B)click on the link and then C) look up pics of kate and C) masturbate until i passed out. this is how things work nowadays.

hockey withdrawals i see...... dont worry, you can watch todd bertuzzy skate on the legal court and watch him pound bailiffs onto the boards.

The Distinguished Competition is finally stepping up their game.

and marvel keeps downgrading theirs by approving such tripe as namor. it's all about karma. :D

Glad it wasn't Beyonce. I also hope Singer has burned the previous scripts in a giant bonfire. JJ Abrams please stick to tv and Ratner and McG please stop making movies. Please

You mean like one of the best actors in recent memory?

Honestly, what has this thread become? Spacey >>>> Anything else in the Superman movie.

Singer's film has nothing to do with JJ Abrams and more importantly, Jon Peters.

Bryan Singer pretty much brought over must of his crew from the X-Men flicks to work on Superman Returns (actual title!).

I think Spacey as Luthor is ace, but I still think Linda Cardellini would make for a much better Lois. Not to mention she's similiar in age to Brandon Routh than Bosworth, seems more feisty than Bostworth and is - by far! - a much better actress.

It's a shame, I tell you. A shame!

Yeah... right. I have a theory that he reminds people of their dear old dads, or sUncle Jim. I don't find him charming at all, yet he tries so hard to be. And his most recent film 'Beyond the Sea' is the most masturbatory film made in the last twenty fucking years!!

He reminds me of neither familial persona.

He comes off as charming because he IS charming! He doesn't try to be a suave mother, but he does it everytime!

Did you see Beyond the Sea? How is it masturbatory? The fact that he plays some other guy, that he sings all of Bobby Darin's songs, or the fact that the movie portrays his steady decline from the start? Name a movie that Kevin Spacey is bad in- I'd like to know. Because, IMO, he's not been bad in a movie to date, just like Edward Norton.

Maybe because at times it features a 42 year old man, playing a 21 year old kid. :/ It's ok if you like NBC movies of the week. I don't think Spacey is bad. It's not that I don't buy his emotions, it's that I don't enjoy his portrait of those emotions. He just turns me off, and I feel that he plays every role exactly the same. He never seems to change his pace, and to me is nowhere near one of the best actors around. Not even in the top 50. Id say the same about Edward Norton. After American History X ihe started phoning it in. :/

Excellent. Now who will play Jimmy Olsen, Perry White, Ma and possibly Pa Kent. I also hope it will focus only on Luthor and doesn't add a secondary villian, like so many other superhero films. Others can enter into sequels like the spiderman films. Developing two backstories waste too much time.

Granted, I don't think Beyond the Sea was a great movie by any means, but for the character that Spacey attempts, I think he does a remarkable job. I think the make-up artist in that film did an outstanding job on Spacey, and while I didn't buy that he was 21, I saw it at like 27. Which is pretty damn good, all things considered.

I can't fathom Edward Norton not being at least in the top 10. The man has so much variety, charisma, and talent that it's astonishing. In my opinion, once again.

The popular choice seems to have Superman fighting Lex Luthor and Brainiac.

This isn't an origin story or anything. It's supposed to play as if Superman has been around for awhile.

Take it from me, you do NOT want to be saying that around here.

Oh really? I say fuck Smallville and anyone who's got a problem with it. Lois and Clark beats it down with a crowbar.

Patrick Stewart being in two comic-based movies would probably be overkill. I'm pretty sure he'd nail the Luthor role though, or at least make it his own like Gene Hackman did. Hopkins wouldn't be a bad Luther either. I wouldn't mind seeing Dennis Hopper myself. But I can deal with Spacey.

Cardellini would own Bosworth for Lois Lane...don't get the Bosworth choice at all.

BTW, who's playing the man of steel?

So...is he gonna play a gay Lex Luthor? :lol I kid, I kid. I like Kevin Spacey. I figure he could do as good a job as Gene Hackman did in the originals. Bosworth on the other hand.... PEACE.
