Connect PSP to PC

I got a problem with my PSP, I can't connect it to my computer. I use Windows XP, and I've put the PSP in "USB-mode", so that's not the problem. The problem is that XP do find the device, but doesn't recognize it as an PSP/Removable Disc. It just says "Unknown device" and that "no drivers where found for this device".

I tried it at my friend’s computer, and it works fine there. Could the problem be that my lousy computer has an USB 1.1-port, and not USB 2.0? Anyway, I can connect USB-memory's and my digital camera to my computer, and it's never been a problem, so I think it should work for the PSP too.

Anyone knows how to fix this?

I thought USB2.0 devices were backward compatible?

Well, aside from buying a Duo reader, I'm afraid I can't offer any advice.

Get latest drivers for your USB ports. Or get a memory stick reader. And erm, remember, without a memory stick in the PSP, there's nothing to recognize.

I don't think it requires USB2. It connects to my laptops just fine and I'm pretty sure one of them is only USB1.

Have you tried checking your motherboard's website for new drivers?

Any pics of this connectivity? Curious to see how it works. Just gets detected and you can drag files over like a digital camera?

Yep. You can open it as a folder like you would any Flash Card or USB thumb drive and drag files into it.
