Console Controller to PC Adapters

I'm pissed off with all these shitty pc pads. I know there exist converters that allow you to use your Saturn, Dreamcast, PS2 and N64 controllers on the computer. Do any of you have any recommendations? Is there a good all in one USB converter?

I have a Kiky X-Series PS2 adapter that I got for FFXI. Works like a charm, plus it supports DDR pads well. I've never had a problem with it or any want to use any other kind of controller. I'm not sure where you can get your hands on one though, I forget where I got mine.

PC magic box will allow saturn, DC, and PSX pads I believe. But for the same price you could get a PSX pad adapter with four ports. Both should be availible from play-asia.com or lik-sang.com

You can make your own USB X-Box controller adaptor fairly easy and inexpensively. Here's a good guide - http://www.fury-tech.com/Modding/Xbox-Controller-PC-Conversion-Mod

Once you've made the adaptor, go here for the drivers you'll need to take advantage of it - http://www.redcl0ud.com/xbcd.html#download

If this seems too daunting, you can find these pre-made online pretty cheap. I've made one before and it cost me maybe four bucks in parts. To me, the S-Type is presently the perfect controller, so it works out well.

^^

They sell them for cheap you know...

Do any of these adapters support rumble and the right analog stick? Most PS2-PC adapters don't.

I have one for the PC and XBOX. No rumble and I don't think the right analog works. DC trigger buttons get no love either.

My Radio Shack adaptor does, in half assed kinda way. Vibration glitched out or crashed more often then not, and some time it can be hard configuring the right stick when the game is calling it a slider.

i have one for the xbox controller and one for the ps2 controller. both are neat but the ps2 controller adapter has more compatibility although i prefer the xbox one. ea sports is a bitch b/c it only supports specific controllers and this leaves out most controllers.

Is there such a thing that lets you plug Gamecube controlers into a Nintendo 64? I'd kill for four of them. Hmm, I wonder if I could get a N64-PSX adaptor and then plug a PS2-Gamecube adaptor into that?

I'm of the opinion that most PC pads suck compared to their console brethren. Because of this, I have adapters for most all modern controllers.

The Magic Box (mentioned above) does Saturn, PS2, and DC controllers. Right stick works just fine for me, but there is no rumble support.

The XBox/USB adapter works great and supports right stick AND rumble. Get a controller-S and this adapter and you'll have a damn fine gamepad for your PC.

The GC/USB adapter works well too and supports rumble and the C stick.

I also own a couple of Sidewinder Classic gamepads (15 pin, not the crappy USB versions). These were great for fighters due to the 3x3 button placement, but the magic box-> Saturn controllers pretty much made these useless. I still hang onto them though.

Have you figured out how to get EA Sports games to support it though? I agree it is awesome especially since the rumble works so well. Are you using the XBCD software as well?

You want a fighting game controller?

Get two Saitek P880s or two wireless ones. They have BETTER DPADS THAN THE JAPANESE SEGA SATURN AND HAVE 6 BUTTONS ON THE FACE PLUS 2 ANALOG STICKS and L/R. I SHIT YOU NOT, THEY ARE THAT GOOD AS I OWNED BOTH. I CAN OWN PEOPLE IN MARVEL VS CAPCOM 1 ON TURBO3 ON KAILLERA AND NOT SKIP A BEAT. YES I'M YELLING. ;-)

You want anything else? Get an EMS USB2. It is a Playstation2->USB adaptor.

-Works with PS1/PS2 dualshock
-Connects 2 controllers at once
-Works perfectly with Stepmania
-PS2 analog button support

Are there lot of games that dont work with XBCD? I just ordered a new PC (woohoo!!) and I was thinking of buying SmartJoy X USB Adapter from Lik-Sang.

Whats the best PC gamepad? Or should I just buy the adapter and use my Xbox pad...?

From what I've heard that Japanese USB Saturn Pad destroys everything.

By the way, does anyone know if any of these adaptors support Namco's NeGcon?
