The game looks beautiful and reminds me of EB. I may actually pick up a GB MICRO for this game..............if the game reaches the U.S.

I believe it's being developed by Grasshopper, the same developers of Killer 7.

If that's true, I can't wait to see what these guys can do in the RPG genre.
 
I think that screenshot in the lower right hand corner of the second page with the bearded man in glasses in Mother3 for the DS.

Refer to the countdown and the most recent Mother 3 that has been posted earlier here on the forum and on Starmen.net.

I was wondering why that screenshot looked so different from the other ones.


So it's from Mother3? That's pretty big news if it's true.

Nope. The Mother looking screen is from the same game, just a different screen. It's supposed to be an info help guy or something for the game.

This has nothing to do with Mother 3, except for the fact that it has the similar look. Brownie Brown is rumored to be working on Mother 3, and that's what the forum at starmen.net is saying.
 
I posted it because I was in a rush to get to class. Sorry, but crap in type happens. Its the internet.

BTW, I do not believe that is Mother3. I think it is part of the game contact.
 
IGN has more details on story and gameplay

The story of Contact begins when an elderly professor, making use of a strange item called "element," creates a space ship and blasts off into space. He ends up crash landing on a strange planet, and with the elements now scattered across the planet, he can no longer get his ship off the ground. So, the professor enlists the help of a young local boy called Cherry in collecting the elements. Enlists may not be the correct term -- Cherry is forced to help the professor when Cherry comes into the possession of a mysterious set of seals. Helping the professor is the only way that Cherry will be able to get home.

Even the story is VAGUELY similar to Earthbound :) Looks to be pretty interesting.

Yes, but they aren't "Slut", "Bad Fantasy Art Valkerie", and "Furry Barbarian", though thanks to the art direction. I'd have to say I'm interested; especially since I've never touched EB (yeah, I know, deprived childhood and all).
 
Looks like it could be fun - but for some reason, it makes me think of Secret of Evermore.

Can we have that next?

Woohooo!!!!!!

Now I'm excited.

Hopefully the story will be as convoluted and full of depth as Killer7!!
 
I loved Killer 7 and from that I know that Grasshopper can do some really interesting stuff, so if Contact comes stateside I'll probably give it a shot.
 
Well, I guess if Nintendo's never going to get off their ass and give us our Mother 3, these guys ought to.

I'll probably buy it day one and struggle through translating it painstakingly until I'm finished.

p.s. Does anyone remember that garbage flavored peel-and-sniff thing they put in that issue of Nintendo Power's Epic Center before Earthbound came out?? God, I can still remember how rancid that smelled.
