Could there ever be another American revolution?

We did? Last I checked many sections of it have to be renewed - just like the Voters Right Act which will have a variety of protests and marches here in Atlanta next weekend.

The original Patriot Act had an expiration date, forcing every part of it to be renewed. The vote to renew the law is now non-expiring. We have to vote down, over turn or create new laws to get rid of the law now.

My understanding is with that still only part of the patriot act is permanent.

Lol, what in the hell.... Someone who is working fries at McDonalds or the register at Walmart has enough problems just getting by, they rarely have money to 'be responsible with' and rarely have any investment opportunities due to finances or their companies simply not offering programs.

They chose to work at such places. Why can't they go get some techical training and get a better job? Then invest 1000 a year into an IRA? There's nothing stopping them from doing this. All the opportunity is sitting their right in front of them.

I worked at Kroger for a year in high school. Most of the workers smoked. If they have enough money to smoke, they have enough money to slowly invest.

Couldn't agree more.

Yeah, great reasoning skills there guys. There's nothing stopping a single mother with no education or training who can't make ends meet from putting away money that she already doesn't have to better herself. Her government, in turn, owes her nothing, and we reserve the right to bitch about what terrible people her children will grow up to be.

Thank fucking god the queers can't marry, though. Solved that problem.

We are just getting way too many immigrants that are not being integrated at all. Unfortunately, it's a catch 22, because we need them to uphold our standard of living since we don't seem to be interested in making babies ourselves. If the current mood holds up, shit will hit the fan once immigrants primarily from the Middle East reaches 30%-40% of population levels. It's really, really scary.
I just don't get this at all. What is it that scares you about it? Open curiosity ...

Yes but for every one person on this, there's another who has leftover cash that spends it on beer, cigs, crack, etc. I work at night stock with a lot of impoverished folks and only two have enough fiscal responsibility to start stashing their cash in IRAs and mutual funds. One has a $300 a week marijuana habit (remember, the MJ is not addictive, he chooses to smoke himself retarded), another spends all his money on Xbox games (he can barely make his house payments but owns about 100 Xbox games), etc.

Not all poor people are that poor. Not all poor people can't afford the luxuries however. There is no excuse not to be saving up some cash if you have some left over, however. The government shouldn't owe her anything because it was her choice (outside of rape) to get impregnated. If I shoot up a liquor store, if I feel bad about it, I shouldn't be set free. I should take my lumps. If I screw anything with a vagina and have to get saddled with child support, it was my mistake and my ultimate choice. The government doesn't owe me for my fuckups.

I can't believe you really need that question answered. Maybe you're not European. If that's why, come live in, or in the suburbs of, a big city in Northern Europe for a couple of years. It'll all come clear.

I agree with what Experiment said.

You're taking the most extreme case of poverty. Even then, it was her choice to get pregnant. Or her choice to take the risk of getting pregnant.

I'm pro-gay marriage. I don't know why you even brought this up.
