Yeah, to hell with Country Time. It's all about

MonsterCan.gif

now in Tim-land. I've had about 38 cans in the past 10 days and can't get enough of it. Not too fizzy, but it provides a kick that coffee can't match. I'm 97% positive that the secret proprietary MONSTER blend contains a lot of cocaine. I DON'T CARE.

Straight from the label (I read it for the first time today) -
Tear into a can of the meanest energy drink on the planet - MONSTER energy! MONSTER is packaged with a wicked double shot that delivers twice the buzz of a regular energy drink.

Grab hold of the MONSTER and - GO BIG!
I plan to continue holding the MONSTER for some time to come. You should too!

Bish you MONSTER you.

Oh yeah, how did you get 38 cans in 10 days? Do they sell cases? I know you used to drink country time from a vending machine, but surely a product as fine as this isn't sold in machine of vending.

The mom n pop store around the way sells them - that's where I first got hooked. But then I found out that Safeway sells them for a dollar less. So I've been purchasing 4 or 5 at a time. The cashiers must think I'm nuts.

"OK, diapers, potatoes, milk....and 6 cans of Monster?"

:p

How much are they? We have a great selection of energy drinks here, but they're expensive as fuck. My gym doesn't mark them up much, but it's still a pain your wallet. Maybe I'll just jack a truck of Red Bull...anyone with me?

My penis is still intact.
Did we ever find out what happened to your piss after that day you drank however many Country Times?

I'll have to try this Monster stuff.

Bright, glow-in-the-dark, lighthouse beacon, spot-it-from-a-mile-away yellow for a day and a half. I honestly thought that I might explode from spontaneous diabetes. Everything worked out though.

Fifty, it runs about 2.70 a can. Do the math and figure out why I'm buying a used truck instead of new. :p

I actually prefer the "Lo-Carb," super low calorie Monster to the real thing. I got hooked on the shit when we played 20-odd hours of Four Swords one weekend. Although at one point, I was barely able to focus, and decided the best thing to do would be to slam down a Monster. I promptly fell asleep, controller in hand.

PS: Isn't there a warning on the can not to consume more than 2 cans in a day or something? You'd better watch out or we're going to hear something about a Vancouver man having his heart explode after a 12 can Monster binge.

Fifty: For what it's worth, around here (Bumfuck, USA), a can of Monster is approximately the same cost as can of Red Bull, but it's twice as large.

beonedge, they're laden with sugar. Anything with that much sugar is extremely unhealthy. I try to keep my sugar intake to a minimum. I never drink anything but water and orange juice; I also don't eat sweets or foods with above average levels of sugar. Anyway, this energy drink is no more healthy than Country Time Lemonade, which I assume to carry a lot of high fructose corn syrup. Anytime I see 'high fructose corn syrup' among the ingredients, a red flag is raised, making me stay far away.

Mmmmmmmmmmmm corn syrup. Yeah, you're right. It's unhealthy, and many people (guilty as charged!) drink them pre or post workout. I'm really trying to cut back on that, even though they have more "energy" than water, the 40+ grams or so of sugar a can of red bull has is just so counter-productive.
