I'm still sitting here wondering why the hell the digital episodes on iTunes are more expensive than the blu ray lol.
Post from today on blu-ray.com Bebop thread.
Goddamnit, I just know my set is going to get blasted. Fully expecting a fucked up case :lol

if you really don't want to pay for the blu-ray and just want to watch the show, I think it'll be made available on Hulu soonish.
If it's as good as everyone says I really wouldn't mind picking up the bluray. I watched the first episode on Hulu, but I'm not sure if that's the remastered version or not. I'm guessing it is?
My copy arrived from Amazon in a fucking envelope.
Yet somehow it was 100% intact.
Awesome set, though I dont understand why they include pig disgusting DVDs. If you still need DVDs, you shouldn't have nice LEs to go along with them
I hope I'm not the only one who did this-
Yesterday I got home from work, fixed my dinner, popped in the first disc and sat down to watch. I immediately thought "Wow, this looks amazingly shitty. This looks exactly like a DVD." A few seconds after the credits were over, before I went ahead and blew my stack, I got up and ejected the disc and confirmed it was a DVD. I picked up the box set and slapped my forehead when I saw that it included the full series on both DVD and blu-ray, but they put the DVDs in front. I immediately rearranged them, sent the DVD scum to the back of the bus.
Yep, did this exact same thing as well. My buddy was in full on placebo mode though. "Woah! It looks way better!"

In fairness, the DVDs will look a lot better because they're from the remaster and not some composite source like Bandai's old release. It's just that the Blu Rays will look better still.Yep, did this exact same thing as well. My buddy was in full on placebo mode though. "Woah! It looks way better!"

Im just gonna guess you havent bought any anime sets recently.
Bingo.
Thats fine. Im just saying the dvd and bluray versions being packaged together is very very common. Its kind of nice because you can lend out the dvds to people and keep the higher quality discs unblemished.
I managed to catch the DVD logo on the disc just before I put it in my PS4 lolYep, did this exact same thing as well. My buddy was in full on placebo mode though. "Woah! It looks way better!"

Really weird that they put the DVDs first
thats what is always done now. Dvds first then BD
Finally broke down and decided to open the funimation edition since I wanted to watch it. Amazing packaging.

Definitely not fond of that method of disc storage.
although it being bluray they shouldnt get scratched.
The series comes before the movie correct?

Is that a thing with blu-ray harder to scratch? Didn't know that.
sweet........ when they putting it on netflix??

There is a coating on blurays that makes them extremely durable. In fact this is why I buy blurays. Its the only reason I buy them.
Yeah I remember you posting that old ass tube tv a few weeks back in the NFL thread haha
Just open and enjoy I'd say!aaaaaaah..... should I open this amazon collectors edition up or leave it sealed?
Not just "generally thought", actually: the staff said that's when it's set and there's no other possibility, logically, based on a couple of details. The movie released after the series but is generally thought to take place between episodes 22 and 23.

Open it, you bought it be enjoyed so ENJOY IT.
Unless you're planning on selling it then I would just open it.
Screw selling it. What's a hundred bucks or two in the great scheme of things. Money comes and money goes. Enjoy the little things while you can.
I agree. I get that exact same feeling pricing comics. It's worth more than a dollar okay, but it sure takes the fun out of enjoying something.

That's free shipping at its finest. I was thinking I'd get it early just like everybody else.
In that case, buy 2 copies![]()

I didn't know it coming to hulu. I keep my mine seal for sure now.
Oh, that settles that. Opened!Yup, market is saturated for now. I tried selling mine for $200 and it still didn't sell.

Oh, man... lol!
How ever much better the new DVDs look compared to the old, the idea of someone not instantly realizing they aren't HD blu-rays is literally laughable.
