I thought Nintendo had the signal encoded funny or something though? And anyway it'd still need some software to set up the connection and what not, but obviously that could be stuck in each online game. Still, an option card sounds more realistically Nintendo-wants-you-to-buy-add-ons to me

My dream DS online plan:

Buy a package. Package includes wireless headset ( it's no line, remember, sheesh ) and a cart that fits into the GBA slot. This cart takes care of connecting to whatever network or what not through a hotspot automatically, and has XBL type of software that keeps track of a friends list, let's you see what they're playing, and talk to them in one form or another. If it works like this, I'll live at public hotspots.

Something tells me though " hey Nintendo, online = great? Fat chance "
