That's not all Creative Assembly announced in their showcase. Not all they teased, rather. They've got another game reveal next week, during the Geoff Awards. Apparently, "this title will be Total War's next major release and represents one of the most ambitious projects in the franchise's history, marking the beginning of an exciting new era." Are the words "for the Emperor" stomping with zealous indignation towards this sentence, CA?

I truly hope so.

40K would make sense given how much they're tossing that franchise around at this point. It's a much more interesting backdrop to me, personally.

Either way, I do hope Creative Assembly has their comeback arc. They need it. Especially after Hyenas.

That's cool and all but how about that other project you are working on? You know, the one with a Xenomorph running around in space scaring the living shit out of people.

I think it will be Warhammer 40K, with several planets.

Otherwise, they could do Empire 2 and covering the entire planet, that would sell quite a few DLCs as well.

With that comment : ""this title will be Total War's next major release and represents one of the most ambitious projects in the franchise's history, marking the beginning of an exciting new era."", I'm pretty sure it's WH40K because of the "new era" like the Warhammer trio we had.

It's either Warhammer 40K or is Star Wars according to the rumours, seemingly not another Fantasy IP collab but SciFi

Personally hoping for W40K

It does not matter what game they do as long as the siege attack/defense AI is the same trainwreck they used since Shogun 1, they really have to step up their game.

I really wish it was Empire game but we are going to get Warhammer again :(.

Oh well, at least the new Paradox map painter is alive and well, although without the cool combat (that's what Fields of Glory is for).

I remember playing Empire and the enemy siege engines couldn't get past the trees and just stopped in the forest.

Or they attacked like one unit at a time and couldn't climb the walls so my 3 peasant archer units took out their vast army.
