If I could figure out what the hell I was getting when I ordered, I probably would have already bought one.

As much as this looks awesome just wait for Creative to drop support for it in 6 months time...

That's the best part. If it's truly open source, the community will support it. I've been waiting for a open source PMP for years now.

Zii? Sounds familiar. Look at the logo at the end :lol

Does this thing have +/- volume, play, and pause BUTTONS? If so then I want to get this instead of the Samsung P3.

I have a 16gb Zen now, and even though I don't like it, I really want to try this

To bad the only place I know that sold Creative products was Circuit City and we all know what happened there

I want one of these. and who cares about that Plassszzzma OS nonsense. it's an Android machine as far as I see it.

and, for 200 bucks, it's well within my "impulse gadget purchase" threshold.

I don't need one, but I'd like to get my hands on one to see what Android is all about and see what kind of apps can be made.

I wish Android played divx codecs out of the box =\

I mean mp4 is great and all but I gotta use handbrake to convert everything to play on my G1. I imagine it would be the same with this.

I want one as soon as someone develops something awesome out of it, as of now this thing is for devs only.

Plus the 200 dollar version has no internal memory.

Looks like an evolution of the Zen, which I fucking love to death. I'm excited for this to be released commercially (with internal memory!).

Looks pretty generic, but I'm reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeal intrigued by the specs.

If someone jacks this with a solid OS, I'm so all over it it's not even funny.

That's just vanilla Android. They didn't show the Creative specific OS, although he did say it was available to license.

It looks exactly like the iPod Touch.

Exactly like it.

I'm not saying the iPod Touch is better, but they look very very similar.

Copy-cat mania.

It really does, but the people that hate the iPhone will say, "Since when did Apple invent devices being black!?" No, this looks just like a touch, and the name is a rip off of Wii. That's all there is.

That being said, it does seem like a cool Android device. I wouldn't mind having one, but at this stage my iPhone is my music player and everything else I need on the go. I'm done with carrying around an extra device for music/internet features. It's not necessary.

Did you look at the screens or did you just pass right by them? Have you ever used an iPod Touch (except for 2 minutes in an Apple store)?

It's a great device, and the Egg looks awesome, but don't pretend that the Egg isn't a blatant rip off in terms of visual aesthetic.

like i posted in the Iphone thread, I really like this and have been a Creative fan for a long time but I have an Iphone, and I'm about to get an Ipod classic since my car cd player will sync with it...im trying to justify picking this up, really hope the GPS is solid because that alone would sale me on it...unfortunately I have a feeling it was an afterthought

Bluetooth + Wifi? Maybe I should replace my aging YP-P2. How is the sound quality for Creative players, usually?

Top notch...no complaints about my 8GB Zen or my 30GB Zen Vision M..I used to be an avid fan

Fantastic specs and price. And it will be great to see what developers come up with using the SDK. I'm all over this.

Will drop pants for Sony.

Why are you comparing an mp3 to a cell phone?

And it looks better than the iPod Touch.

Not sure about that, I love the thin design of the touch but this media player does look good.

Not sure how this device will fare with smartphones like the iphone, pre, G2 mytouch that can do a lot of those media players can do but are also a phone. I think a lot of people like myself are doing away with multiple devices if one can do much of everything.

Creative products always seems to beat the Ipod on paper and in the pocketbook. Until you pick one up and try to use it. Let's just hope they have a kickass OS and interface so i can say goodbye to Apple :)

Dual Cameras - Forward facing VGA camera AND a Rear Facing HD camera

egg_camerafeature.jpg

sdhc support - you can get a 32gb for like $40-50

GPS Support - Not sure why i would need this on a WMP but why not....

Holy crap, I was thinking about getting a Zune HD, but if this comes out and is competitive in price... and of course, provided that it doesn't work like shit.. I want.

Well, if you don't own a smart phone with unlocked GPS already, it could be pretty useful. You can use Google Maps for GPS directions, and it's only a matter of time before there is a solid turn-by-turn nav application for Android.

And since it has a camera, you could also use it for Geotagging.

Read my reply again. Try to understand english this time.

Apple invented round corners.

There it is!

It looks like the original iPhone. But you guys are ridiculous... there are only so many ways you can make a portable device with a wide screen on it...

As someone who gets lots all of the time while walking, this kind of thing would be extremely useful for me.

<-- really bad sense of direction.
