Really think about it. How many gang warfare games are there? I don't understand why everyone says the gangsta theme is overused when really there have only been a handful of them. Meanwhile nobody says shit when the newest WWII, Space Marine, or D&D derivative is announced.

Difference between WWII games and Gangsta games, is that one doesn't immediately cause 12 year olds to act like cocks and glorify the absolute dregs of society. Unless you think Brigadier Charles Charlie-Charles is a cock.

25 ot life, Crime Life, 50 cents, True Crime 2, The Warriors, and some other i forget about i'm sure.

I didn't mind the gangsta thing in GTA as i like the parody in this game. GTA as always been about stereotypes and laughing at it so it's cool to laugh at gansta and hip-hop right now, the whole America is going "urban" and "gangsta" since a couple of years.

I don't want all my games going gangsta or urban, nor i want all action game being brawlers or GTA pitifull clones. I'm tired of this all in general. It's the general urbanisation, it's there with the clothes, music, videogames, the teens now all dress and act like in those music video clips ---- WTF? enough already. Can't stand it anymore. Putting some urban hip-hop skin to almost any game now is perceived as something good for sales by publishers. Oh yeah, there's also Ride or Die from Ubisoft getting "the urban skin". I hope Splinter Cell 4 is gangsta.

There aren't that many of themoverall. Yah there are more than there were at one time, but it makes sense because of how popular GTASA was with that theme even though people said it wouldn't sell because of it. I don't really think they're any worse than any other concept that is milked and milked.

If these games were about crackers running a methlab and stabbing their girlfriends in Modesto, people would be like, What the Fuck. But since it's on MTV it's OK. I am not saying you are wrong about those games... and it isn't a HUGE problem.. just it would be nice.... there are not too many outside of the pretty new urban gang setting.. it would be nice to see a black lead in a Zelda like game (and before the Zelda fanboys jump my shit.. I am not saying make Link black.. just a game that is like Zelda.. ) Or an RPG..besides where you get to make your character (which is my favorite type so it doesn't matter) just it would be nice...

Diablo 1 had a black mage guy. You could not customize him either. A white fighter, black mage or white archer IIRC.
